IU advances to NCAA’s Sweet 16, rallies to beat VCU, 63-61
Luck proved to be on IU’s side for St. Patrick’s Day. The fourth-seeded Indiana Hoosiers rallied in the final minutes to beat the 12th-seeded Virginia Commonwealth Rams in the third-round game of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Saturday, at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.
IU now advances to the Sweet 16 Friday in Atlanta, where they will face the top-seeded Kentucky Wildcats, who beat eighth-seeded Iowa State Saturday, 87-71.
