| Arse Tuesday, June 28, 2011: 9:20 am | Criminal charges be damned, personal behavior dictates. Hollis fought with his arresting officers...big difference. One would assume Sheriff Downey would be familiar with how to handle this situation. I believe this is his second deputy in drunked trouble during his short term. |

| Arse Wednesday, May 4, 2011: 11:00 am | Buskirk is one of the most ingracious people I've ever had the suffering of meeting. Now, Mr. Buskirk, you have been officially politically drummed. Please, go away for good. |
| Four candidates seek GOP mayoral nod | |
| Arse Saturday, April 30, 2011: 3:39 am | On other issues, Buskirk said: -"Would like to see a museum commemorating not only John Wooden, but other people and former businesses that played important roles in the city’s history." Have anyone in particular in mind, hmmm, Shannon? A Buskirk Wing perhaps? |

| Arse Wednesday, April 27, 2011: 1:05 pm | "Manley said the township will run short on funds to pay the poor relief investigator. He said the previous investigator spent three months training his wife, Missy Manley, for the position. He said that investigator and his wife were paid out of the investigator account, which will leave it short for the year. The investigator is paid $17,000 a year to check on people receiving assistance. Really? That's longer than military basic training. What is it all the hip people say nowadays? Jus' sayin', I believe. |

| Arse Friday, April 22, 2011: 2:30 pm | Mr. Stewart, How do you propose to address those issues you listed? Please, don't say "attract new business" or anythig similary vague. Tell me HOW you're going to attract new business. What would you do about the, at least in your estimation, increase in crime? |

| Arse Friday, April 22, 2011: 7:41 am | Hey, Vic! Why'd you bother to file if you're not serious about the job? Even Mr. Hogan, who is uncontested, had the courtesy to respond. I'm convinced Mr. Spina is better suited for filling the change machine at the car wash and sweeping up the peanut shells at the restaurant. |
| Deckard’s donations more than opponents | |
| Arse Friday, April 22, 2011: 7:36 am | Voter turn out will be a yawn. Historically, whenever voter turnout is markedly increased, there was a great societal dissatisfaction. Not so with this race. Overall, Deckard & the council have done a good job of handling city affairs and. for the most part, everyone is content. | Arse Wednesday, April 20, 2011: 3:57 pm | Really? Buskirk has once again violated election law? You'd think with all his past experience, especially his criminal conviction a few years back, he'd have this process down by now. From his current campaign ads, I'm guessing "Ole Bussy" already considers his effort on the ropes. He didn't simply slip into negative mud-slinging, he got down & "waller'd" in it. Say goodnight, Shannon...Goodnight Shannon. |
| Deckard: Challenges met well | |
| Arse Tuesday, April 19, 2011: 9:54 am | Mr. Deckard has the best record of proven business performance of all the candidates. His major fault is his reluctance to disappoint, which, at the same time, oddly enough, is also his greatest strength. I'm not sure if his desire to appease drives his relentless public service or vice versa. Either way, after much consideration, Mayor Deckard has won my very hard-earned vote. |
| Stewart: City needs new ideas | |
| Arse Tuesday, April 19, 2011: 9:44 am | Mr. Stewart has some ideas. The problem is, they are very, very basic and he doesn't explain how he would achieve the goal. Everyone is in favor of curing cancer, it's the "how" that proves to be the hard part. Sorry, Mr. Stewart, you are simply not a viable candidate. |
| Spina says he’d bring business acumen to office | |
| Arse Tuesday, April 19, 2011: 9:39 am | I have a question for the board. Does anyone know exactly how many businesses has Mr. Spina owned/operated and how many name changes have those businesses made? Researching, I've found enough to make one ponder Mr. Spina's ability to manage anything successfully. |
| Buskirk touts ability to manage budgets as mayor | |
| Arse Monday, April 18, 2011: 9:54 pm | "Memberships: Eastview Christian Church, The National Association of School Resource Officers, Paul Ackerman Lodge 119 FOP..." It may be important to point out here, as Mr. Buskirk brags of his FOP membership, that "his" lodge recently voted, UNANIMOUSLY, to endorse Phil Deckard. Makes one wonder what Buskirk's professional cohorts don't see in him. |

| Spina would make a good mayor | |
| Arse Sunday, April 17, 2011: 6:27 am | In my opinion, Spina is not a legitimate candidate. I believe, his candidacy is the result of a consummation of he and Rod Stafford’s anger over not having their bid accepted for the demolition of flood damaged houses on Southview Dr, period. I am more than a little disappointed at the number of Spinas signs I see planted around (of course, a great number of those are in the yards of his business partner’s, Steve Dean, rental properties. I would be curious to know how many of the residents requested the signage). Until Spina explains how he will do all the glorious and wonderful things he has promised, I’ll keep my choices focused on the viable candidates. |

| All Morgan County townships that filed employ family members | |
| Arse Tuesday, April 12, 2011: 3:32 pm | “Really, it’s just the way it worked out,” Manley said of his family members on the payroll. “I didn’t see any reason in changing Cathy. She does a good job, knows it and has done it for many years. As far as my wife, she inquired about the job and I spoke to the lady who had done it before, and gave her the job.” Manley said townships were not the only form of government with nepotism and said anyone, whether in government or private business, in a position to help family members and friends would do so. “I know some people have a problem with nepotism, but I don’t see a problem with it,” he said. “As long as there are checks and balances.” Manley said Cathy Neal puts in more hours than are required for her pay and that he’s never had anyone complain about his family members being on the payroll, nor has he had anyone else inquire about the jobs. Remember this. There will be a quiz later. |
| Arthur wants to return open-minded approach | |
| Arse Tuesday, April 12, 2011: 8:26 am | Now I wasn't there and I don't claim to know Doug Arthur well, but I have my doubts on any claim of his rudeness. I have found, in my extended stay on this planet, that rude is entirely subjective. In fact, believe it or not, some folks definition of rude is being told who, what, when, where and how...and, dadgumit, they just don't hanker to it. A child was shot, get over your petty personal afront. |
| Arthur wants to return open-minded approach | |
| Arse Monday, April 11, 2011: 9:10 pm | AH, Why can't he just be a Knight? Why must you cubbyhole him with useless descriptors? I'm shocked and agast at your blatant colorism. I'm fairly certain, when your fellow Shrews hear of your blatant ugliness, you'll be stripped of your sorority affiliation regardless of your birthright. |
| Arthur wants to return open-minded approach | |
| Arse Monday, April 11, 2011: 8:17 pm | “The water is awful,” Arthur said. “I don’t drink it." Can it be? An absolute honest answer from a political candidate! Perhaps there is hope on the horizon. I'm also very excited by the idea of a Renaissance festival in Martinsville. I love a good joust. |
| Kivett wants to continue service to city | |
| Arse Monday, April 11, 2011: 8:11 pm | “I can work with anybody,” Kivett said in the interview. “I have never not been able to work with anybody.” “Service is what I know,” he said. “I work good with others." Except, apparently an English teacher. A merger between the Martinsville and Washington Township fire department could happen in the future and could be a cost cutter, but he hasn’t had time to study it. I'm curious as to how one would know this consolidation could be a cost cutter if one hadn't had time to study it. Thank you, Mr. Kivett, for making my decision a little easier. |

| Police in charge of security; schools want to get back to teaching | |
| Arse Tuesday, April 5, 2011: 7:34 am | A.H., You are so correct, I attack...stupidity. If someone's comments are stupid, I confront them. Your's was stupid, so I confronted you. Remember, stupid is the refusal to accept facts. Ignorance is the absence of facts. Stop being stupid. Instead of anonymously attacking the school & police officials, how about contacting them with your resolution for the problem. From what I've seen of your comments, you can only tout education as the answer to everything. Is that the answer here? Do educated people not shoot other people? I'm curios how some great thingers, and you, might handle the situation. As far as the actual police tasing, The city administration dealt with the officers involved. If you agree with their decision is immaterial. If my attacking your comments offends you, stop making stupid ones. (BTW, you'll notice I used the word "stupid" several times in my post. That's because what you posted fell into that catagory. Just so you know.) |
