I'd have to say that if he has actually done all he say's that he's done, and I have seen things about the issues he's accomplished in the past published a lot in the newspaper or radio he has every right to step forward and talk about his accomplishments. I mean, we are talking about the well being of those in our schools. I do know last winter when my mother needed transport to Indy for a required doctor's appointment and the aging services wasnt running that he had someone there to pick her up and take her. I believe that each and every candidate should be required to prove themselves.

While I was impressed with Ferguson's interview, I find great concern relating to his statement, "he won’t make immediate changes". Is he not aware that no one board member can make changes, but rather are simply 1/5 of an entire vote? I also find great concern relating to his statement, "Martinsville has had major employers leave the town". I'm find great concern with this statement because his family had a part in this with his grandfather-in-law serving as mayor and his father-in-law serving as a city councilman. While I mean no disrespect to either candidate and certainly wish our students, school system, and community to achieve the very best candidate to serve, I find great concern that neither of them have proven themselves through service to our community rather simply promises of what to do, "IF" elected.

As a parent of students in the Martinsville School System, I'm curious how often these drills are practiced and when they were last updated? I'm sure that these would be public record however, when I contacted the administration office I was told they weren't available. I called the number listed for Mr. Rollo which is listed with his picture on the school's website however, it rings in rather strangely and no one ever answers.

Clerk unsure if Harmon's request to leave coroner race can be granted

I have concern as to Mr. Harmon's initial quest to run for the position of county coroner. Garry Long has not officially been charged with anything. With Mr. Harmon's background in law enforcement shouldn't he be aware that everyone is innocent until proven guilty? Thankfully he bowed out before the possibility of being elected. I find concen that Mr. Hamon and Mr. Long are both Pivate Investigators, could it be that Hamon acted out of rebuttle to Mr. Long? And Harmon served as a state police officer? I have to question his credibility in law enforcement. I truly hope that the citizens of Morgan County will remember this should Harmon ever choose to run for political office ever again. I believe it's pretty relevant that Mr. Harmon entered the contest for the wrong reasons and not with the best interest of the citizens of our county. A poor politician quickly releaved. Thanks for coming out and showing us your true self Mr. Harmon.
