| GregBader Saturday, May 11, 2013: 4:06 pm | I've been commenting for quite a long time about how the politicians here are driving people FROM Martinsville and not bringing people TO Martinsville. I think this article pretty much verifies my previous contentions. I am saddened that this is all happening. What MarkMcDaniel says is spot on. |

| GregBader Monday, April 8, 2013: 8:53 am | The Blog http://martinsvillereport.blogspot.com/site has an area for feedback for readers to input "the rest of the story" if anyone feels like only half the story is reported. That is what it is for. Community discussion. The MartinsvilleReport brings forth a much needed critical perspective that is completely MISSED by the Reporter-Times, which I feel only presents 1/2 of the story. We present the other half. |

| GregBader Monday, April 8, 2013: 8:43 am | The next time a shooter enters a school, maybe we can disarm and disable him with a protractor and ruler. |

| Township’s use of CAGIT funds questioned | |
| GregBader Friday, March 15, 2013: 8:50 am | Great article. However, this is not anything new that we are not aware of. No one here seems to care of money is used improperly. This issue was reported on FIRST in the MARTINSVILLE REPORT in this article: http://martinsvillereport.blogspot.com/2013/01/its-all-about-firemen.html |

| GregBader Tuesday, March 12, 2013: 8:44 am | I see alot of unhappy people here. If you all are so unhappy with the way things are done in Martinsville, would it not be more productive to attend and BE ACTIVE in council meetings and township meetings than to just comment on this site? If you are truly that dissatisfied with our leaders, attend the meetings, watch what they do, talk to them, put the heat on them, call them, write them, etc..... If you do nothing, they will continue to do what they please. In the end, it is our fault for not managing these guys. Our form of government works well if we get involved. If we do not get involved, it is what it is. |

| Mayor defends auctioneering for city | |
| GregBader Friday, February 22, 2013: 3:59 pm | Some of you may be right in that another auctioneer MAY have charged more. But then again, another local auctioneer may have truly done it for free, unlike Deckard, who seems to have done a "bait and switch" on the town. Unless you take competing bids, you will never know the truth and there will always be a conflict of interest and ethical questions. Do you Remember the Mayors campaign signs all over town a couple years ago? In big letters it said "HONESTY, INTEGRITY, Phil Deckard". |

| GregBader Tuesday, February 19, 2013: 8:06 am | i think "don't ask don't tell" works. I am an Eagle Scout. We had a gay dude in our troop. Everyone knew. We just accepted him. At that age, we did not care. We just wanted to camp and have fun. We all worked together. |
| Warehousing mentally ill in jail is bad policy | |
| GregBader Saturday, February 16, 2013: 8:42 am | All the state run insane asylums and mental houses were closed by Evan Bayh when he was governer in order to save money and to shut down the awful houses of horror that these govt. facilites were. We need to have new facilites to house and help these mentally ill folks. Just not run by the state. People were being abused and dying left and right for no reason in the state run houses of horror. |
| Letter to the editor spreads false information | |
| GregBader Saturday, February 16, 2013: 8:38 am | To the Mayor: My comment about covering something up with the blanket story was an intent at what was called a pun. Blanket, cover up? get it? I care not about this story. Our folks did the best they could. There seems to be a glitch in the cell phone to local emergency responders timespan and not in the response of our local guys. Everyone on this comment chain is talking about everything BUT that. The local guys did a great job. I think there needs to be in inquiry into the delay between the time the cell phone call was made and the time the firefighters got the call. The time from when the firemen got the call to when they arrived at the scene cannot be questioned!! They did well. The firemen did a good job. I cannot comment on the blanket issue. I do know that blankets should be standard issue though. |

| City considers new utility charge | |
| GregBader Wednesday, February 13, 2013: 7:04 am | Mark, No qualifications required. Look at our president, What are his quals? However, relative to other cities, the residents of Martinsville have been paying half in terms of water and sewer. The system is old, and every Boss Hog that has been elected here did not want to raise taxes gradually to maintain the system. Now that is has been mismanaged for year after year, it is collapsing. Decades of neglect by the incompetent politicians. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. If you want to read more about how the politicians are "doing you" visit this website and read more: http://martinsvillereport.blogspot.com/ |

| MSD tries to avoid teacher evaluation issue | |
| GregBader Monday, January 21, 2013: 7:44 am | 2500 teachers punished for sexual misconduct There is no need to re-evaluate any of the teachers. RIGHT!! However, like any group of people, most are good, and there are bad apples that must be weeded out in order to help the kids. Read this article that was just in the reporter times. |

| Shooting prompts districts to look at plans | |
| GregBader Wednesday, December 19, 2012: 3:56 pm | NOT COWER. Last two words of above. |
| Shooting prompts districts to look at plans | |
| GregBader Wednesday, December 19, 2012: 3:53 pm | Agreed. Until we arm a couple teachers in a concealed manner, cowering in groups in the corner of the classroom only makes it easier for the shooter to kill more efficiently. Our schools plans are weak and only suggest retreat. The doors on the school are glass, Easy to get in. Only when we proactively seek to knock down (with bullets) drug induced sicko killers by trained and armed teachers, the killing will continue in the "gun free" zones that are basically zones with sheep and no shepherd, and the wolf is lurking nearby, seeking blood. Just think, if one or two teachers in this school were armed, at least 1/2 of those kids would be alive today. If you were a parent of a dead child, do you like those odds to see your kid again? The odds that day were 100% that you would never see your child alive. I'll take the 50/50 everyday all day long. We must act and now cower. |
| Coal plant should close | |
| GregBader Wednesday, December 12, 2012: 9:55 am | Yes, IPL needs to go clean. Perhaps we can cover the entire county with solar panels and eliminate all houses and farmland, use car batteries to power our homes, make generators powered by rats walking in a wheel, or perhaps, we can put all that HOPE and CHANGE in a 55 gallon drum, stir it up, open it, and out will come the electricity. This guy is correct!! |

| Marijuana: Should Indiana legalize it? | |
| GregBader Thursday, December 6, 2012: 10:09 am | Try telling a cancer patient this line of misinfo. Try telling someone who has had multiple surgeries and is tired of the doc's throwing addicting legal heroin pills at them for pain. I've experienced the latter, and the legal stuff is far far more dangerous than the illegal stuff for a very small sector of the population. |

| GregBader Wednesday, November 7, 2012: 5:27 pm | Welch would have had a chance had she not buried her nose far into Pat Bauer's rear end and followed him all the way to Illinois two years ago. That was her swan song. When I talked to her at the fair this year, I told her that the voters her would not put her in office after that stunt. She just replied "Well, we made our point" and changed the subject Yea, well, the voters just made their point Mrs. Welch, and did not change the subject. |

| New bridge over White River open, but work on project will continue | |
| GregBader Monday, November 5, 2012: 8:12 am | "Originally, the bridge had been expected to take 1 to 1 1⁄2 years to complete, with the work expected to be done by the end of 2011. Design changes, weather conditions and right-of-way acquisitions have caused delays." You mean these are recurring issues that were left out of the original planning in order to sell the timeframe. Who builds anything outdoors without planning for delays, weather, etc.....? These are known variables that were ignored. amazing. Now that the shoulders are wide, can I fish off the bridge? |
