Like I have said Outside, Grow up or Shut up. I'm done talking about this subject, because when it comes to a lawsuit, I don't want to be involved and make you look like a complete IDIOT in court. But on the other hand yes I do. Because your facts are so off base you don't even have a clue. 56 years I have lived in Morgan County and I have never seen such a drama queen and dweller like I have you Outside. Its time to move on and grow up. Stop being a baby. I may not agree with the Courts or the plea bargain that was offered but do I let it affect me? No! Its old news. Like I have said, we have major problems in the US right now and your worried about a convicted petty felon that has been out and clean for over 5 years now. We have child molesters, rapist, women abusers, murderers and drunks on the streets everyday, and those are considered violent offenses where arson isn't a violent offense. So how about we worry about the violent people, and grow up and be adults. Heather N Martinsville

Outside, First off I would like to make it known that I am in no way a member or past member of the Fire Department. With that said, I do know and have known some of the older guys for 25-30 years now, and past guys who are still around from when that Department was built including Jake for about 20 years. What does it matter what Jake does or who he is friends with. You obviously have no clue on Jakes life or who he is friends with still to this day. Im 56 years old and have seen a lot of things in life. I have learned through life you need to worry about your self not others, and you will live a much happier life. With that being said, Jake is old news. He has served his time, whether you agree with the Judge or not, he has done it and moved on to better things in life. Everyone makes mistakes as im sure you have. Have you ever talked to Jake about his case? I will admit I judged him and held a grudge against him just like you have, and I finally was mature enough to call him up, sit down and talk to him face to face and listen to his side instead of what all was printed against him in the paper. He even offered to let me read all the depositions in which I did read a few of them, and in my opinion he pled guilty to get it over with and move on with life. Let me tell ya, there wasnt one person who accused him of setting a fire. He was a open book and answered all my questions. You can tell by a mans eyes and how he interacts with you in a conversation and tell if he is telling the truth or not. But Mr Outside, this Jake bs is the past and is what 4 or 5 years old now? So why not move on to something more up to date and something that is happening now? Has he gotten into any other trouble since? Not to my knowledge he hasnt. Grow up and move on. Your worried about something that is old and if his daddy wasnt sheriff back then, it would have never made the news anyways. Our nation is falling apart and in so much debt, and your worried about one guy? Really? And isnt a Fire Department a public place? Just like a police department, mcdonalds and the list goes on. So what says he cant be there? The reporter do there own investigation? They cant even report facts as it is now on 90% of there stories,so what makes you think they would be able to get it right anyways. If your man enough ( which you hide behind made up screen name so your obviously not)you would sit down and ask him about his case. As far as im concerned he shouldnt have to explain himself to anyone but he did for me and said he would continue to if anyone asked. So there you go outside. Man up or shut up in my opinion. Heather
