| Ferris: I fed, watered my dogs | |
| Homecheese Thursday, June 21, 2012: 7:56 am | I unfortunately know this family and all I can do is say how pathetic and I'm not at all surprised. I just keep shaking my head in wonder at a system that allows them to have one of the dogs back after they starved the other ones! And if their house was that filthy and that is how they treat their animals, are these two individuals able to make wise choices in caring for their child? Still shaking my head!!! |
| Monrovia High School teacher charged with rape | |
| Homecheese Saturday, October 29, 2011: 10:21 am | How many of you personally know this girl and this teacher, who also happened to be her coach at one time? There are a lot of details not being released from the investigation but the prosecutor would not have charged this man if they did not have supporting facts. He was also charged with 4 other counts, not just rape. And whether the girl/woman is 16 or 60x no means no. Have more info before you all make comments. Also go to better news sources, I have read the coverage on all other local news sources and this coverage was the worst. It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear a fool then to open it and remove all doubt. |
| Irish have too much fight for Pioneers | |
| Homecheese Friday, October 28, 2011: 6:34 am | I finally have to speak up. Keep in mind this is just my opinion, but coming from Monrovia I’ve not got to witness what all is happening there in Mooresville with your football team and will throw my two cents in since we’ve got to experience the destruction of Coach Hutchins . Coach Hutchins did very little in the run to the state championship when at Monrovia. He rode on the coat tails of a very talented, unique group of athletes; and as I sat there in the stands watching that game I actually believe his “coaching” kept the team from winning the game. In my opinion, the unfortunate part of this was a super nice group of Monrovia boys got screwed out of their state championship AND you all in Mooresville got stuck with Hutchins. Even coming off of a trip to Lucas Oil, I would have shouted it from the rooftops, I was THRILLED to see Hutchins go! And I wasn’t alone in thinking this. Ask the other Mooresville coaches and the players if they’ve benefitted from Hutchins comine to Mooresville. Better yet, ask they have benefitted AT ALL from the addition of the Harpolds to the coaching staff? Even better idea ask some of the Monrovia players that played for Hutchins and what life was like pre-Harpolds and then post-Harpolds. I was told that Harpold Sr is no longer allowed to be a head coach in the state of Indiana due to violations he made during his previous stents as a head coach, particularly allowing an academically ineligible player to be his Mr. Football nominee for the state and be on the team to continue playing. How can you respect a man that has the type of character he does? How do you ask a bunch of boys to respect that. He cheated! And better yet how do you respect a man that upon introduction has to tell you he is Dick Harpold and he is a Indiana Hall of fame coach? I don’t think I’ve EVER heard those words come from other Hall of Fame coaches I know. So how do you respect a head coach that brings that kind of influence into the locker room and onto the field? So to dzone 87, LOTS of people had problems and issues with Coach Hutchins at Monrovia and were thrilled and very thankful to see him go! Just so sorry you all had to inherit this “coach.” All I’m asking is who is the common denominator here when it comes to these two football programs? |
