“This is one of the most ill thought out pieces of legislation I have ever run across,” Crawford said. “I’m at a loss to understand.”

I agree totally. So, the State government is going to adminster this testing program? I'll wager that the cost of administering this program will exceed the actual welfare benefit.

How did this bill pass? Does someone actually keep statistics of fires started with novelty lighters? Another example of time wasted by the State Legislature! Pathetic!!

Woods also is trying to sell his home. Before it became known that Glasscock was living next to him, Woods said he was getting two to three calls a week about his property.

“Now I’m not getting any calls,” Woods said."

Here's a hint. It might have something to do with the Big Yellow signs in your Front Yard.
Bullying issues cause family problems

My sympathy goes out to Courtney and her family. I wonder if the school system and the local police department will resolve the situation once Courtney takes matters into her own hands. This is an explosive situation waiting to happen.

Chief Deputy Downey's statement that, "bullying cases tend to get handled within the schools" is unfortunatley the truth. The Carmel school system sure handled a recent bullying case well, didn't they.

My advice.....get a good lawyer, take the School System to Court for failing to provide a safe educational environment, and force a resolution.

Thank you Martinsville School Board for maintaining some sense of sanity throughout this process. The penalties seem fair, and Dr. Furniss is getting the 2nd chance he deserves. Now, let's get back to work...

My two daughters have gone through the Martinsville School System, and I have no complaints with the job that Dr. Furniss has done. Certainly, he has made a terrible error in judgment, but it should not spell the end of his career. The man needs compassion, forgiveness, and a second chance.
