Food distribution causes friction

Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists[a] arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution.
Please all lets remember to care for the widow, I would not want to be the one who would deny the widows.

You are right Shakika. If this is not about the annexation then lets put this on hold until this case gets to court. Why the need to rush this through this month? Why did holloway call a special meeting so this could all happen this month? Why did Holloway feel the need to lie repeatedly at the special meeting that this rezoneing was approved by the council when it was revealed that the council had never seen or even heard of this rezoneing request?

Why doesn't Joe Donnelly just tell us where and what he would be willing to cut instead of wasting more money on a study when we know he and others will not vote to cut anything but our military.

Mr. Phil Deckard, I do not know what rumor I started. I stated that "it looks like Mayor Holloway and you are making friends all around Martinsville." The article is pretty self explanatory, they do not want to wait and find themselves in a lawsuit, like we have now if Martinsville ever does want to annex them. This tells me they are being proactive in wanting to avoid the leadership of you and Ross Holloway at any cost. I also know that about 95% of the people who own land in the annexed area also signed a petition wanting to avoid you and Ross Holloway's guidance and management. So it is pretty obvious citizens surrounding Martinsville have no interest in anything you and Ross Holloway have to offer. Unfortunately for you this is not a rumor, I have the evidence.

Well of course "earth day organizers" have distanced themselves from murderer Ira Einhorn but the truth remains he was the founder and the master of ceremonies at the first earth day event. If he was not founder they have had 40 years to provide evidence that he was not so where is the evidence?

I am all for families getting together and cleaning up public areas if that is what gives them pleasure. But I personally would not want to be associated with a event started by a murderer Ira Einhorn. He was the founder of earth day and the master of ceramonies at the first earth day. He murdered ex his girlfriend Holly Maddox and kepted her dead body in a suitcase in his apartment closet for over a year. This is all about indoctrinating young children into getting on board with radical environmentalism. Count me out.

Well with 800,000 per day losing their health insurance in Indiana in seven days none of us will have health insurance under the age of 65. What a bunch of political liberal hacks these so called religious leaders are. Maybe they should look into the cause of such high insurance cost ( Obama Care) instead of being a cheerleader for the take over of our health care by the government!

Why haven't these college students applied for citizenship? I want them to "maximize their educational opprotunities" also I just don't want to pay for it. Why would the Indiana taxpayer be more beholden to an illegal resident than we would be someone from Ohio?

She must have been answering the phone to one of those 12 businesses per month she claims she talks to that want to move to Morgan county but don't because we have not annexed larger areas of land. She never got around to mentioning that her salary was tied to her sucking up to City for our $50,000.00 annual donation to the MCEDC.

Dear Leadge, please read then read again I never mentioned Benard W. I was referring to the expert committee who voted to create a storm water fee the first and only night they ever convened a meeting. The reoccurring excuse for this new fee was the flood we had in 2008. Now give this some time to sink in with your superior intellect.

How dare councilman Price concern himself with how much the City is raising fees on his constituents. Everyone knows if we just give more and more of our pay checks to the city everything will be wonderful and Martinsville will never flood again. Has it ever dawned on anybody that when the water is 3-4 foot high on the walls of the homes as it was in 2008 that no amount of money we give to Ross Holloway to design a drainage system is going to alleviate that kind of rain event.

It is about time they exposed this waste of taxpayer monies. To bad they didn't include local EDC's you would really see the complete waste of taxpayer money and zero jobs actually created by the Morgan County EDC.

This must be the first board in U.S. history that on the same night they became a board they also imposed a tax on everyone under their domain. Did any of these actors forget their lines to the script? Who didn't know this was coming.
By the way could anyone tell us what are the qualifications of these board members? Do the have a lot of experience designing surface water drainage systems or are they just dependable pawns.

What I find strange about this whole story is that it did not even rate getting an story in the paper. I guess with all the other major events going on in Martinsville three kids falling through the ice and having to be rescued wasn't newsworthy. Seems somebody didn't want to talk about it.

Stick with it Peggy, students in public or private schools should not be eligible to vote just because they are temporarily here while getting an education. Even in-state students should only vote in their hometown districts. They are not vested in the district they are just partying for four years there.

Nobodyimportant, maybe I prematurely thought you might have some intelligence. Did it ever occur to you how remarkable it was that this 'bridges project" conclusion of us needing mass transit came out right when there was a bill in the legislature pushing for mass transit. I guess you thought this was a remarkable coincidence. Please make your case as you say you can that mass transit will financially payoff since it has been a remarkable failure everywhere else across this nation.

Physical standards are already lower for women than men in the military why can't the liberal mindset tell the truth. The only thing Panetta needs applauded for is being a spineless pawn to the liberal agenda and being a good lair on equal standards.

Please quit "asking for my papers" to fight the common cold.

Sen. Buck I am expressing concerns now about transparency and waste in the local and State IEDC right now so you now have your first concerned citizen.

It is a shame that you had to waste so much of your own money just to defend yourself from your own local government who is supposedly here to serve the public. I believe this is the only time I have agreed with this leftist extremist Krull. What people put in their own bodies after they 21 should be there own business, they are still subject to all laws regarding others safety, as in driving. I believe spending billions of tax dollars locking up and dragging through are court system non violent people is ridiculous.

Isn't the timing of this article convenient. Where in this article does it say any of the wrecks were on county roads? Where the terrain would be level and smooth and no barbed wire or so steep that it rolls over on top of you. Just when we might get a little freedom around here some do-gooder enforcement bureaucrat wants to save us from ourselves. Did he take a riding course? That would be good to know. Lets just ban ATV's and then we can save lives.
Property owners sue to stop annex

To the point:
Let me explain some more to you. Other than the intersection at liberty Church Rd. everything in the annexation area is already in the City bufferzone, which as you say already controls what type business could locate there. So do you think it is fair that 3100 acres of ground and 140 families should have their property taxes doubled so that the City can tell BP oil which one of four corners they should build on at Liberty church intersection? Who knows at this time if any company whats to build there or if anything is for sale. Is the County totally incapable of making an intelligent decision? Do we have to have Ross Holloway tell us which one of four corners is the right answer? Maybe he should tell us now and then all of us would know and then we would not have had to go through all of this waste of time and taxpayer money.

Could "confused again" elaborate on the exemption he spoke of, I farm and have never heard of this exemption. Thanks goes to our Sheriff for actually wanting to cut the people some slack.
