All I can say is that there are requirements for obtaining this position. From Sept. 30, 2012 Reporter Times article by Julie Crothers. "Martinsville school board elections near....Peggy Mayfield states..... Although the seats are considered “at-large,” there are still residency requirements. Candidates must reside in the district in which they are running, Mayfield said. When filing for the board, candidates were required to obtain signatures from only their specific precincts, she said. Candidates from District 1 must live in Washington Township precincts 1, 2, 5, 6 or 12. Candidates from District 3 must live in Washington Township precincts 7, 9 or 14. Candidates for District 4 must live in Washington Township precincts 8 or 13." So living in Mooresville does not constitute running for MSD school board.

Some citizens oppose the MRC future plan

If Mr. Corman and Mr. Currins tell us taxes will not be impacted due to this purchase, that's what I will go on. Folks need to listen first and not assume too much.
