Wilbur -
What you are missing is the history of RM. RM will not let that truck just sit and do no runs, they will use it, they will use to do private transfers out of Indianapolis. Green Twp will be waiting a long time for an ambulance because the RM ambulance will be doing transfers. Then in the long run, EMA will be shut down, then what will Gregg Twp do? They will call Brown, then Brown will suffer, then they will call Madison (if it still exist) then Madison will have to call Decatur Twp, then Decatur, Perry, etc. etc. its like ripples in a pond, it just keeps going and going. And that is just the north side of the twp.

Not to mention the bills people will be getting from RM. People do not think they can afford $100.00 a year or so on taxes, wait until they get thier first RM bill...$2000+ on average. I know several people who work at RM, and it has been a practice for them for along time to have the paramedics always treat the patient so that RM can bill the paramedic rate, I am not sure if that is going to happen, but RM will send people to collections, unlike the cty fire departments that usually just write off the insurance balance or what the patient cannot pay.

Good luck to you Green Twp. citizens.

As none of you obviously have any idea what is really going on or the details to any of the events...Let me start by saying, How can this city discriminate between officers? This is not the first offense for Capt. Jennings! And he is still aloud to work and get paid? All of his offenses happen ON DUTY. Officer Hollis was at a concert, staying at a campground across the street from the venue when he and his girlfriend were approached by hamilton county sheriff deputy. All of his alleged pending charges are misdemeanors and Capt. Jennings is facing yet ANOTHER felony battery charge! Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture. But Mayor Deckard, you will be up for re-election and that can't happen if you don't allow the public to dictate your decisions versus doing what's right!
You people are the reason Martinsville is dying on the vine and will never prosper. Fun fact: Morgan county has more people on welfare and unemployment per capita than any other county in the STATE!!! how bout that Mayor? And how about the superintendent of our schools? He was caught drinking and driving in a city vehicle! He is still working? Is this some kind of joke? This town is the epitome of white trash and everyone that does not live there has that opinion of it!

To Michelle:

On your comment about the housing additions...part of that is because no one in Mooresville or Morgan County has enough since to make the housing developers give money to the schools or build another school. Most cities make large housing developments such as Heart Land crossing build seperate schools because of the huge amounts of kids. No one in this area ever thinks of that.

Hey Pinky, I called and talked to one of the fireman on the fire and the home owners called 911 on thier cell phone and the 911 center in Marion county took the call first and Marion county had to find the correct 911 center to send the call to, which they thought was Hendricks county, then Hendricks county sent it to Morgan county...that's why it took 25 mintues to get someone there. Not because the fireman just waited and didnt go. Brown and Mooresville responded to assist with MUTUAL AID because on a fire you need as many people are you can get so NO ONE gets KILLED.....but I guess that isn't important to you.

Can someone please explain what is wrong with the Madison Twp Fire Department? This house almost within view of the fire station yet it took 25 minutes for them to show up. Is that why Brown and Mooresville FDs had to also respond?? And which department left the fire the first time? Why wasn't it properly extinguished? So many unanswered questions here. But it appears that there are some management issues with the Madison Township FD. Maybe conflicts exist.

You have got to be a moron, yeap, thats it. How do you figure it took 25 mintues for them to show up? Perhaps it took 25 mintues for the FD to get there AFTER the fire started, not from when the 911 call was made.
