There is no area anywhere that has two districts. The county is located within two districts. Part of the county is District 4, the rest is District 9.

And I am looking at the current district map for the congressional district and haven't found any area in Morgan County that has two districts. Aren't the maps online current? She said they changed in January, but I haven't saw any map that has put any portion of Morgan county in another district. Though it makes sense because this county the year I ran supported Brant Harshman, and Senator Bray even held a fund raiser at his home supporting that candidate, and invited me to it, while I was running for the same office.

Why don't you ask Mr. Goodwin? Or you could ask Jeff Quyle since he had the same democrat's sign in his front yard. Or ask the party chairman. He knows all about it too and I'll bet he even has copies of the pictures.

The inconvenient truth the Ratcatcher left out was that it was a School Board position which is NONPARTISAN. We can discuss the candidates qualifications in that race if you want to go there. The winner of the race won because the anti Mooresville school project crowd backed him. Certainly wasn't because of his qualifications.

Thank you. I guess there's a reason he's called rat. People still have hard feelings about the school project? That was a long time ago. Get over it!

The township needs this expansion. The tax increase is miniscule compared to what is received in return, which would be greater service, more reliable service, lower homeowner's insurance, and greater peace of mind. Also, keep in mind, that Harrison Township is NOTHING like Madison Township. Harrison Township FD is surviving on a shoestring budget and barely surviving. It is an all-volunteer department. In the past, the tax rate was decreased slowly every year until nearly all funding for the department was taken away. If such drastic decreases had not occured in the past, the money would be there now to support this station.

God forbid someone dies because they had to wait 30 min for an ambulance or help to arrive. That is the average wait time in that area right now.

Pinky, I won't be trying it. I have my own path and beliefs. However, I also believe in "be, and let it be" and the right to free enterprise as well as property rights. As long as no laws are being broken, I have no right to dictate what can and can not take place on private property.

I agree Ed. I won't be going there but I won't condemn it either. What I don't like is the infringement on property rights. We're slowly losing all our freedoms in this country.

So long as they are not bothering others, then let it be.

As long as noone soliciting me, I don't care what they are doing on their own private property. To each their own. The the parents/people worried about children wandering onto the "camp". Keep track of your children, their whereabouts and goings on and you won't have an issue. Teach your children not to climb the 8 foot fences that belong to others. BTW this location is so far out in the country, I'd be willing to bet that not one poster, thus far, has ever been there. I know how far out it is, due to the fact that I happen to know Mrs. Key, and have been to her home.

Well said! The only reason this is public now is because it is a zoming issue. There is a similar place in Brown County close to Morgantown. They don't seem to cause any trouble. It's because it is quiet and not a nuisance.

This place will actually bring a little more money into the county. These people will need to buy food, gas, camping gear, tools, and some will want to go out to eat. Don't knock it before giving it a try. So long as the activities are kept private and they don't cause any trouble, then let it be.

I do not have any problem with gays at all.I also believe you should also do as you please on your own property BUT, this would be a sex business. If PINKY and a couple friends what to have a "campout" on there own property go for it. The problem is when you open it to the public. Do you know how many sex offenders this kind of thing would draw, Why not open a gay family camp ground. Rosie O'donnell has gay family disney days and gay family cruises.I believe there would not be any problems with that...

You obviously can't read. The campground will not be open to the public. It wil be a private members only club. The fees total almost $3,000!! Trust me. No sex offenders will pay that kind of money to see older people make out! You can go to the mall & see teenagers for free.

I totally disagree with Pinky. To me a person's political views say alot about them, so I am very glad this information was posted. I hope many people find out this information before the school board election. I will definately vote for Mr. King. Also, Pinky needs to check their facts because there are empty classrooms at Waverly while kids at North Madison are in temporary classrooms. Also, a college education does not define your intelligence. Some of the most inept people I know & some with absolutely no common sense possess college degrees.

Can you please tell me where in Waverly Elementary there are empty classrooms? I have been there and every single room has a purpose and is currently in use.

VOTE ROBERSON AND KING! How any conservative red blooded American could vote for someone that donated $10,500 to the democratic party, specifically Julia Carson is way beyond me. Did you think that wouldn't get out Melanie?

This is about education, not politics. Julia Carson & the Democratic Party have nothing to do with the Mooresville School Board. Neither does the Republican Party for that matter.

Honestly, this is a tough choice for me, but I am leaning towards DePoy. At least she is educated and has some experience in education. King just wants to keep them from buildng anything new or raising taxes.

And he says there are two empty classrooms at Waverly Elementary. Has he seen them? I sure haven't. It's because it's not true. Waverly is slowly becoming as crowded as the other schools. Take a look at the 1st grade classrooms. Each class has about 24 kids.

Regardless of who you vote for, we must all get more involved in our children's education. Parents are the ones ultimately responsible for their children.

Exactly, I did not say I endorsed DePoy, but you assumed that I did. Apparently it does take some level of education to at least stick to the facts and not create false assumptions. That's the problem with people these days - always jumping to conclusions and spreading falsities.

You're all idiots! Let the investigation process work and let those in the know make the decisions. You've not heard all the details; you were not there. This kid sounds like an inbred animal who probably needs to be slapped across the face. Paid childcare workers could not restrain this child!! Would you rather the police used a baton on the kid? A taser is perfectly safe if used properly. Perhaps some of you need to be tased back to reality!

Nice to see that you've all got this whole thing figured out and believe, without any investigation at all, that these officers were wrong and should be fired. I'm glad my life isn't determined by public opinion and speculation. Fact is none of you were there and no one should be so quick to judge. I am inclined to side with the officers, however, without all the facts, it would be inappropriate to jump to conclusions. In their defense, they were called there. They were respondng to a volatile incident. I have seen children out of control and it's becoming more and more common. Parents do not discipline their children as they should. Children have no respect for anyone these days. Sometimes it is necessary to use force with children. And a smack on the mouth for cussing at an adult is absolutely appropriate. This namby pamby non-violence crap is allowing kids to become animals. A spanking is not violence. A slap on the face is not violence. It is well-deserved punishment. Put the fear back into the children and you WILL have better behaved children!
Carding to buy alcohol: It’s the new law
Pinky
Tuesday, March 30, 2010: 12:29 pm
Easier for me. Who else? No really, 18 is the age of majority for everything except alcohol. Why? It doesn't make sense. You can get married, have kids, go to war, etc., but you can't have a glass of wine at a family dinner. There's a reason kids go crazy with alcohol in college. We've made it taboo. Well, not me, but whatever. So whatever is taboo is extremely attactive. Lower the drinking age and watch college binge drinking drop, along with drunk driving incidents, alcohol poisoning, etc.

You got it right Hoosier. Now if we could only get the laws changed.

And she is not working as an artist. She is unemployed. It says so on her website.

Sounds like she really has something against doctors and lawyers. Probably because they've all sided against her and are out to get her.

And funny how she decides to run as a Republican but she's never been involved with the local party. She's off to a great start!
