Would you mind if I put a sign in my front yard with an arrow pointing to your house advising everyone that you have no means of protecting your family and property. Remember, when seconds count, police are only minutes away.

A Hoosier: I wonder how that little girl feels about that crime. I doubt 14 years have wiped away her pain. From what I have read, child molesters never recover. That is my understanding of why these restrictions are in place for convicted child molesters.

Former Brooklyn marshal Carlyle arrested

Monday, December 20, 2010: 8:07 pm
Milton Frank Sams and Chie-Chie Boles have endangered Brooklyn by their past support of Carlyle demonstrates their complete lack of concern for the citizens. I hope everyone remembers this next year when they try again to get back into office. Three (3) seats will be open. Keep reminding your friends and family at every opportunity. Please keep this message in circulation.

Carlyle is everything a law enforcement officer should NOT be. A bully, intimadates the people less able to resist and uncooperative in the town business. Also from the public record he is known to be most unfamiliar with telling the truth.

Thanks to all who attended. Sams is a disgrace to the church he claims to represent. If any members of the Nazarene faith observe this unfit minister, I hope they will complain to their leaders. Sams wants Carlyle back in power so he (Sams) can get a reserve badge, uniform and a car so he can drive to Mooresville and get a discounted meal. Sams owns no property, has no job, other than the church, and is a most disagreable person. He has attended less than half the Council meetings since January, 2009, but still collects a check. What a guy (not).

Sams,Boles and Newman seem to be dedicated to making Brooklyn the armpit of Morgan County. The three have done nothing positive for Brooklyn. Marshal Hester has done many things to improve law enforcement and community relations in his short time of service. Far more than Carlyle has done in his entire career.

Marshal Hester is 180 degrees from Terry Carlyle. Brooklyn now has a chance to move forward if we can replace two worthless board members, Frank Sams and Chie Chie Boles. They have consistently ingored factual inmformation. Wonder what their motive has been. Best of luck Marshal Hester.

Martinsville management????? If you have done any reasearch at all, you must know you are as wrong as wrong can be. You are only jumping on the emotional response of those who are Monday morning quaterbacks. Real reasearch is a great tool for decision making. Nothing the police could have done would have been right and you are subjecting public servants to the moods of unknowing people. Please use your heads for something besides a hat rack. Thank you for your time. Respectfully, Planter

Thankfully a cooler head did prevail. Folks all too often react with the heat of emotion rather than thoughtful study. People who have first-hand experience with children with these issues clearly understand the impossible problems associated with this illness. Perhaps the state's educational systems needs to be revamped to better deal and place these children. They need to be in homes better equipped and educated to handle these situations rather than rely on the police on duty at the time. Nothing the police could have done would have been the right answer to this. Thank you for reading.

I sincerly hope cooler heads speak out about children with this type of disability. I have talked at length with a family that has such a child. If you don't have first-hand experience, I don't think you should make such judgements. I agree such punishment sounds horrible at first blush, but I would urge you to seek information from people who deal with these issues on a daily basis. You may be amazed at the level of difficulty. Thank you.

This stems from a second set of time cards signed, in secret, without the boards knowledge, by Frank Sams and Chi Chi Boles. Ms Boles admitted this in a public meeting. Wonder what their cut will be should the claim prevail.
