Former teacher faces felony in threat to kill charges

I believe the story writing and edited needs to be addressed in this piece. It really takes away from from the newsworthiness of the story when there are silly grammatical errors that should be easily seen before publication. For example, 'filed' was written at some point instead of 'field.' Its obvious after reading the sentence a couple times, but it really draws the reader's attention away from the story. A little proofreading and editing would do wonders from this publication. It also seems disconnected to throw in the bankruptcy information at the end of the story. It has nothing to do with the story itself, and if the author felt it was important to character development then he should have tied it in better. To me, as the reader it appears more as a 'kicking a man while he is down' comment, which is not the point of reporting. I am aware of the inverted pyramid news writing structure, but feel that in this case throwing in random comments adds nothing to story in the fashion it was written. Just a little tough love! Hopefully my comments will be noted by the staff as constructive criticism.
