REALLY?! But lets not talk about teachers going on strike and auto unions driving up the cost of American made cars. Most doctors spend half of their career paying off their education loans that total over $100K. How much in student loans does the average union worker have to pay back?

Compare that to unions that shut down entire school corporations or transportation systems. If teachers and other union folks don't think they are making enough money they should get an education and career in something else instead of holding the public hostage with strikes.

Welch's latest mailer with her wearing her nurse uniform was cute and all but the spin factory obviously worked overtime on it's development.

Note to voters:
1. She is a cancer nurse, not an OB-GYN or maternity nurse. I don't know of many babies in the chemo or radiation treatment rooms.
2. She says she is pro-life (and maybe she is) but Mayfield is the one who got the endorsement from Indiana Right To Life. What does that tell you?

Unfortunately, state legislators seem content to double down their bet that maybe, just maybe, this will be the year their INPRS bets in the stock market will finally pay off big. They hope it will save our public pension systems before Hoosier taxpayers are required to cover the shortfall.

While discussing the tax abatement request, council member Bryan Collier said the plant would be “a net win for the citizens of Morgan County.” Collier said that, since the existing plant is being taken out of service, “something would be better than nothing.”
