Greg, Wow you have some inside stuff going on as I do from that fire dept. And yes you are right. A few people who are supporting Mr Downing are being his little puppets so they can try and advance unlike most places you have to work for your advancement. People need to realize that Mr Downing has a piss poor history in government. Ask Mr Downing why he was let go as fire chief out at Gregg Twp? Ask people around town who have dealt with him through the coroners officer or sheriffs dept how he ignored there calls and never helped families with answers or anything like that. I could go on and on but truth be told if anyone in Washington Twp votes for Mr Downing I hope you enjoy Martinsville Fire running the show because Martinsville is going to Merge with Washington and the Mayor will be in charge then not Mr Downing. As rumor on the street has it and from a few fireman from numerious departments its already figured out. All they have to do is put it into action and sign the papers but the Mayor has a little much on his plate and more important things to deal with right now, so lets see how many people want a merger?? So do the right thing Washington Twp and Vote Manley for Trustee. Atleast he is for the people and will go to bat for them and fight for what they want, and not be a little puppet like others.

Yes I will agree the guards should get a little more trainign but if he is talking and refusing treatment there isnt much they can do. I agree with you. The MPD officer should be held responsible also. I have been in that Jail. They have some respectful and good Guards and they have some total * s that there day will come that they get there ass whipped but the moral of the story is, is that its not really MCSD fault. It all goes back to the officer which we both know who it was and he is a well i wont say his name or what I think of him

So he should have been taken right then to the ER. I know Jeff because I went to school with him and know his back ground and no im not from Paragon. So before you want to bash the sheriffs dept and Mr Downey step back and look at who really is at fault. Did the Sheriffs Dept force pills down his throat?? Dont think so. Also Det Worth from the sheriffs department is one of the best detectives in the county if not the state. Ask the other detectives they will tell you how detailed and strict he is with his cases. He wont cover anything up. Sheriff Garner has assigned the perfect person for this case. Ta Ta Mr Jennings and Johnson. Anyone going to apply for these two positions?? How about since they took there id's guns and vehicles they also take there pay?? Good way to save money?? Just a thought for the Monkeys lol Happy Easter!

First Mr Jones does not have the back ground to be sheriff. He hasnt even been through what half those guys have been through. Aka the academy and training every month since. Yes Mr jones is a people person but look at who he is going to put in as his Chief Deputy! We all know Mr Weddle will be running the place that is if our Sheriff now does in fact retire. If not where are they going to get the money or spot for these two guys? Yes they can Make a spot for the Sheriffs position but not a chief deputy. So is Terry weddle going to work for a Jail officers Salary? Highly dont think so. Morgan County we need to wake up. You know and I know that half the crap most candidates put in the paper isnt even true. Just like Mr Ringer. 3100 dollars to paint the cars the traditional Sheriffs colors? No actually it is around 5 or 600 dollars. Call the current Sheriff and ask him to see the paper work, because im sure he has it and would be willing to show you. I guess if we want liars, and snakes in as our Sheriff go ahead and vote Jones or Ringer. As some of the deputies have already found out ( including reserves) they have found out the Mr Ringer will hang you out to dry or stab you in the back in a heart beat or as soon as you disagree with him. Mr Garner well done in 8 years. You have done a exceptional job and all the deputies I have talked to even 2 ( Beaver and Downey) that are running have nothing but good things to say about you and how far you have brought that department. Just remember people no matter if you agree or disagree with me just come out and Vote in May. Lets have a record turn out!!! See ya at the poles!!!! Eye in the sky, If you were truelly an eye in the sky you would see the Sheriffs Department is just like any other budget and it is getting chopped. So why take a deputy out of service that is 15 mins away for a minor call when he can stay centralized and be ready for a real emergency. Aka a drunk beating his wife, a child getting abused, your family member trapped in a car that has wrecked or caught fire. Take things like that into consideration. Plus its saving the tax payers money by them not having to run balls to the wall to get to you and burning there limited supply of money up on fuel. Just food for thought. I will agree though that some officers, "including Mr Ringer" abuse the power of being able to just take a complaint over the phone. But most of the ones that are takien of the phone are legit and is saving you money or being free in case your other family or friends need emergency help. Downey for Sheriff, Manley for Trustee!!

Wow. As a close person in the sheriffs department I see multiple things that are untrue in this article. Doesnt all the deputies have to complete the ILEA? Also it doesnt cost 3100 to convert the cars to brown and tan its more like 500 bucks. Mr Ringer should know this since he is in charge of the fleet! Also what are the candidates going to do for the reserves and the cars they use? Those cars are falling apart! They are hand me downs that have been run hard by the Merit deputies. So are they going to get better vehicles mr fleet man? Im sure the whole truth shall come out. Lets see who changes there stories during the meet the candidates!!

Hoosier and Liberty, Do you guys remember when the Government was scared of us the people? Believe it or not its true they used to be scared of us. Now its the other way around. Snake boy ( aka our pres) thinks he can just keep printing money and all will be fine. Well it wont as we see in this day of age. For every billion dollars printed I believe they said cost a millions. I have a few suggestions on how to save money. Park air force one for a few months! Stop going to other countries ( aka vacation ) on our dime. For every time he flies he has 2 other full size planes as decoys. Im not for people dieing but why is someone sitting on death row for 20+ years?? Why should someone be able to kill a child or adult and be able to have a roof over there head 24/7 and 3 meals a day on our dime? If they are found guilty give them 5 years max to exhaust there pleas and appeals! After that your done and God Bless there soul! When The President keeps giving out this bail out money why doesnt he give every person with a License the money or voucher to buy a new american made car? That could not only help the dealerships and economy but most cars now are so called green and cleaner for the enviromeant. It doesnt take a rocket scientist obviously to figure these things out. But thats ok because I believe he only has 1030 days left in office. Its bad when people are leaving there senate seat and house seats because they disagree with there own party! Im sure I will be slammed on all this but owell just food for thought
