I may be wrong because it's been a few years , but I seem to remember an incident at a local high school event involving underage students drinking. Rumer has it that Wilson's son was involved and the whole thing got swept under the rug. Where is the "accountability" in this Brad(cover-up)Wilson? Go Steve Brock!

MorganCoLvr, it seems your statement doesn't make sense. As per his (Townsends) former employer's Taser policy, "The Taser will not be used on any subject who is currently re-strained or poses no threat to staff or others". I believe the victim was restrained both hand and foot in this case.

The mayor says he stands by his men, and has feelings for Jennings and Johnson. We sure saw his feelings "of anger and disappointment" when it was announced that no laws were broken and there wouldn't be any charges. It's obvious.

Liberty, the crime as I understand was a "violent juvenile commiting battery"(hitting, kicking, spitting, cursing). Maybe if they had pulled thier guns and shot the kid in the back they would have recieved a slap on the wrist like one of thier superiors. This is obviosly become political because Jennings once ran for mayor. Maybe they wanted to make sure he couldn't try it again.

All of the details should be released to the public, unless your trying to hide something.Don't just pick and choose what you want the public to hear. We want to hear why these officers were treated like criminals when they were doing thier jobs.

Since the officers were cleared of any charges, this has now become a political witchhunt. I would bet that the current regime "ruining" the city police dept is concerned that Jennings might have been planing a run for mayor. Not only do certain Officers shoot people in the back, but they also stab thier co-workers in the back. If currant PR for the police dept had made an original statement to the media that "officers used force necesary to stop a violent juvenile", it would have been the truth. But not in this back-stabbin town.
City should stand by its men

Maybe if the headlines had read "Officers use necesary force to stop violent juvenile", it might not have been such an issue. Could have saved a lot of taxpayer money and these officers could have been spared being treated like criminals. I hope the current regime running this city pay dearly out of thier own pockits and not the taxpayers.
