The community really thinks that anything is going to do anything. I realize Wolf has already quit, but the school board should really make the Furniss' issue and Wolf issue a point to show that ethics and morals and doing illegal things are important. If not, then the Board needs to go too. |

If you would sit in on their meetings, the question is..."What is the best way we can provide the best Fire and EMS service to our communities?" One dispatch center is the answer. The second answer is to continue to fund EMA and add ALS (or paramedic) trucks to the county. Do it right Council and Commissioners. Talk about two political egos. |

And what was worse was the fact that the number of abortions vs. "regular check-ups" were vomit provoking. |

I just wish that people would stop complaining so much when all they have to do is ask questions and be involved. Don't be all up in a bunch when you found out information you didn't know about previously and then immediately blame someone else. Maybe if people would be involved, then situations would not become "so horrible," when really someone who was involved would understand and not freak out. And to answer the question about full time vs. paid standby vs. volunteer... -First all certifications are the same, no matter what level you are. -Volunteer is what it is, volunteer. The State of Indiana mandates that so much is given the to firefighter (for clothing and fuel). -Paid Standby are volunteer firefighters who take open shifts. They are paid hourly. -Full-time firefighters are there every third day for 24 hours. They are paid salary. |

Burned up houses, burned up his truck, wrecks his car a couple of years ago and nearly kills himself, wrecks his car a few months ago on 37 and has a few "buddies" from GTFD flip it back over, AND NOW he hits someone on a scooter. When is the Sheriff's Dept. going to realize that just because he has the last name of someone who was important, that he is going to kill someone and he needs to be held accountable. Amazing. |

Why do you feel the necessity to add to a person's letter to the editor. It is not called "An Edited Version of this Letter to the Editor." It is called, "Letter to the Editor." Why do you feel the need to add information. I looked at all 25 of the Letter to the Editor that can be viewed on the on-line, I found ONLY ONE "Editor's Note"......And it is on this one. Convenient. Does typing "Editor's Note" make okay to add to someone else's work. Just wondering. |
