| cam Wednesday, November 21, 2012: 5:51 pm | Seatbelts are NOT required for ATV's. You need to read the ordinance. I got a copy from my commissioner. They are required for UTV's or also known as side by sides. The ordinance calls ATV's 'All-terrain vehicle' and what I call a UTV 'Recreational off-road vehicle'. Both are covered under the ordinance. It states if the vehicle has a safty belt or one is standard equip. then you are required to wear it. Seat belts are not standard equip on ATV's but are on UTV's. |
