| dawnraye Wednesday, May 2, 2012: 10:47 pm | I think it is important to say... When I graduated from Mooresville in 1985 I had to take a remedial math class. Math was NEVER my strong field and the remediation was helpful. I would suggest that we ask the question "Are more of our students needing remediation now then they were 5-10 years ago?" I also believe that our English teachers ... who have the skills to teach writing ... have little time to actually teach writing. My 9th grade daughter told me yesterday that she has written more papers in US History than in English this year. I also know that our English teachers are focused more on teaching to the state mandated tests thus little time for teaching & revising of writing. |

| dawnraye Saturday, February 25, 2012: 8:32 am | While we are extremely proud of Keegan's swimming accomplishments this year, we want to state that Alex Brunk still holds the 100 Freestyle record for Mooresville High School at 52.6. Keegan did set a personal best at 53.47 at Sectionals. Keegan and the entire team had a great swim season, many of them set personal best times and had a great time. We would LOVE to see more young people get involved in swimming ... it is great exercise and our program continues to grow and improve under the directions of our swimming and diving coaches (Davis, Miller & Shanklin). And Alex ... Keegan has set a goal of breaking your record during this next swim season! Keegan's Dad and Mom! Carl Seyerle & Dawn Walker-Seyerle |

| dawnraye Saturday, December 3, 2011: 7:09 pm | This was NOT the way he was dressed to attend the Scottish Symphony. He was actually wearing a tuxedo shirt and vest (orchestra outfit)and was not wearing the headwear. He was not wearing the outfit to show off... he was wearing it to attend the Scottish Symphony with his orchestra class. |
