Respect the high school’s ‘other’ sports

When my son played varsity soccer for MHS in the late 90's ...the football coach (name rhymes with SPIDER!!!) told his players that if he EVER saw them at a boys soccer game they'd be kicked off the team ( he only wishes his football players had had the same athletic ability as the soccer players did...sour grapes because he lost his kicker to the soccer team..)Football players sit out every 4th down - soccer player RUN for 90 minutes!!! I support all MHS sports but agree ..this will ALWAYS be a football/basketball town. Small town...narrow minds...what can you say??? And I do recall our boys soccer program reaching the semi -state a few years ago...cant recall the football team even winning a sectional lately.

Please check with your insurance agent; Mr. Hale has misspoken ( again!) Once the maps go into effect, you will be required to have flood insurance if you have a mortgage.. If you have gone to a no/low risk flood zone to a high risk zone A, then your rates will be grandfatherd for 2 years at the no/low risk rate. AFter 2 years, the rates then go up to the Standard rate but you will NEVER have to pay high risk rates . HOWEVER.....if you sell your home after the 2 year granfathering , the new owners will have to pay the high risk rate which is THOUSANDS of dollars. THANK YOU FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR MAKING MY HOME WORTHLESS WHEN IT HAS NEVER HAD A DROP OF WATER IN IT !

They have no social skills, and were a "problem" in school and therefore that is why they are now home-schooled because they could not adjust to social settings, discipline and structured learning. I drove to Bloomington from Foxcliff and had no problem...if you drive according to the conditions, clear your windows, use your headlights , it was no problem. THe problem was the idiots on the road that were driving 20 mph with their flashers on or the people that were driving like bats out of hell. 3 " of snow is not a reason to call off school! Maybe a 2 hour delay would have been in order...MOnore county roads are clear and they called off school before the storm began - STUPID!

Accident at Ind. 37 and Ohio St.
golforegal53 Thursday, August 26, 2010: 12:21 pm	something needs to be done about this intersection..especially where you turn to go to Walgreen's and Rural King...I have almost been rear-ended there several times because people turning onto OHIO from 37 are not expecting you to suddenly stop to turn left into Walgreens.I cant believe the city cant expand this intesection or make it clearer on where the turn lanes are located.
