It is apparent from the comments here that there is little, if any, understanding regarding the current developments in public education policy. Not only was this law forced upon the people by the current Governor and others of his underlings, but it does nothing to address the issue of remediation if a child is retained. The purpose of this law, other assessment laws and policies and the current movement in Indiana Pulic Education is to do away with public schools. If you can answer this question regarding this law and any others that shape policy for public schools then it is a fair law: Is it good for kids? I dare say they are the losers in this political move to strip public education of resources so they can be funneled into the private sector where there is a profit to be made! Do your homework concerned citizens. Perhaps you should think before you type!
