Fiery crash closes Baltimore Road
momof4 Thursday, May 16, 2013: 10:15 am	I come over that hill alot and had to stop fast due to that bus stop. there is plenty of room for that bus to pull into the parking area and not stop traffic. the school needs to find a better spot for that stop before someone get killed or injured badly.

the local fire departments should still bill people and not write the amount off. there are people that can afford to pay their bill but they choose not to knowing that the fire departments will just write it off and not send them to collections. so then the departments have to apply for emergency loans to cover what they write off. which cause the people that really can not pay their ambulance bill to pay more taxes. Is that fair.

the fire departments writing off the balance that people can not afford is why they have to keep asking for emergency loans! Which makes my property taxes go up. I am tired of paying for people that can not pay their own way. I would rather have lower taxes and pay my ambulance bill (when and if I ever need one). The local departments should take people to collections just like RM does. If you use the ambulance then you pay for it. Like people have said in the past give up Star Bucks and pay your ambulance BILL!!!

why did all 20 employees have to be laid off at once? Why did the cheif not do it a few employees at a time to keep the ambulance running? You tell me that the government taking 70,000 back broke the department so much that they could not make it 2 more months to finish the year. Everytime this happens they do the all or nothing bit. If they really care about the welfare of the people of gregg township I think the cheif would have found a way. In one article the cheif stated that the emplyees were willing to take a pay cut. Why didn't he except that?
