i'm not exactly coming to the officers defense, but sometimes 10 yr old kids are not like my 10 yr old kid or some of yours!!! the daycare obviously knew the strength and capability of this "kid" or the police wouldn't have been called. i've seen stories where ten yr old kids kill people. i'd hate to think my kids were at this daycare and something like that happen!!!!! officers are equipped with these weapons to protect themselves from harm be it a ten year old or a 90 yr old. maybe the daycare needs investigated as well for allowing a dangerous kid among others daily. it could have been a lot worse for another family expecting their kid to be safe while they are out working to provide for them.
