So..... according to newspaper it took the cops over 8 hours to figure out that Jared was not in the house. What the heck? That sounds like some major incompetence on their part! Glad I don't need the cops for anything.
So, was Ethan in the house alone or did Jared take him with him? How come the paper don't say anything about that????
Someone in that county needs to learn to do their job!

Until now....
You might want to get the whole story before you remark my friend; I know that is tough to do if you solely rely on the paper. Granted the paper doesn't report everything (I guess they have their reasons) and some of it probably isn't told to them for officer safety. But I promise you the SWAT team acted and performed just as they should have. You have to remember, there was a 7 year old child involved. His safety was paramount above all, and with the information the SWAT team had, I'd say the community should be proud. Honestly let’s be real, do you think officers wanted to lay in the cold on sopping wet ground for hours? Do you not think if they had any idea there wasn't someone in that house they would have changed tactics? These men and women train hundreds of hours a year. I believe they know what they are doing. It isn't TV here; it was a real life situation with real live people in jeopardy. Do you think they just want to bust in doors and shout and shoot at people? Their main job is safety for all involved: even the perpetrators of the crimes or the instigator of the situation safety is first and foremost.
