| adept_hedonist Sunday, March 21, 2010: 12:31 pm More from adept_hedonist | He should resign immediately. |

I agree 100%. If he doesn't he must be fired. I'm sure there is a morals clause in his contract. If he doesn't and they don't he will be responsible for every death of every teenager that drinks and dies each year in accidents. |
| Reality Check Sunday, March 21, 2010: 2:59 pm More from Reality Check | Responsible for EVERY teenager that dies, huh? Have you no shut off switch? You must be perfect, right? |
| Ratcatcher Sunday, March 21, 2010: 4:10 pm More from Ratcatcher | Somehow I knew you wouldn't stay out of this one, Liberty. LOL! I don't think what the guy did was right by a longshot but plenty of other people have done this and didn't lose their job at the factory, restaurant, office, etc. Why should he be any different? What about other supers who have engaged in other dispicable, immoral acts that never got the boot? I view lying to the public and misusing taxpayer money as worse offenses for a super to do. Those things affect me. This guy did something stupid but he didn't kill anybody for God's sake. A moral clause can be interpreted many different ways by many different people. The contract needs to spell out exactly what immoral acts constitute an infraction or the guy will keep his job especially if he is "in bed with" the school board. My suggestion is that he take a pay cut like the super at Monrovia did. Maybe then he won't be able to afford to buy alcohol anymore and he won't find himself in this mess in the future. |
| nobodyimportant Sunday, March 21, 2010: 4:10 pm More from nobodyimportant | For everyone who is quick to jump on the bandwagon to boot him, lets please remember that each one of us sins, and God holds no sin higher than another. None of us are capable of leading a perfect life. People who are in the public eye are sometimes held to a higher standard, but God will not recognize that invention of man. If sin brought to light is the reason to fire someone, our unemployment rate would be 100%. He should be held accountable for his actions in the court of law, the the court of public opinion. If his contract holds a "morals" clause that comes into play here, the School Board should act accordingly. Even Bobby Knight was given many chances before that hammer fell. |
| A Hoosier Sunday, March 21, 2010: 4:31 pm More from A Hoosier | It could be possible that Ron will get a get out of jail fee card, much like county clerk Peggy Mayfield's husband did. |
| A Hoosier Sunday, March 21, 2010: 4:34 pm More from A Hoosier | Sorry, that would be get out of jail free card. |
| concerned resident Sunday, March 21, 2010: 5:02 pm More from concerned resident | Officer Whitley was Mr. Mayfield's arresting officer. Need I say more. |
| concerned resident Sunday, March 21, 2010: 5:18 pm More from concerned resident | I should have said former Officer Whitley |
| A Hoosier Sunday, March 21, 2010: 6:48 pm More from A Hoosier | Concerned, Are you trying to tell me that Officer Whitley lied about Dean's alcohol level? I would seriously doubt that. I am more apt to believe that the county failed to bring forth charges based on Peggy's position. |
