Peggy is a great Clerk and a terrific public servant. She has never had to have her name or one of our elections in the media because of errors made by her or her staff--unlike prior clerks. I have nothing against Ms. Cooper-but she did resign from a job that she was elected to do. And, now she has chosen to run against an incumbent in her same Party. Not a nice thing to do to someone who has done a great job. I hope Peggy is returned to office-she's one County officeholder we can certainly be proud of.
