What is wrong with these people? This type of behavior from our city employees/personnel is starting to seem like the “norm”. Volunteer firemen pulling over people for traffic violations and now the police are beating up the children in town. Is anyone in control here? What does the mayor have to say about all of this? (I bet this makes the local news.) We just can’t seem keep our communnity out of the public eye. The whole state probably thinks we are a bunch of reckless fools. This is a disgrace to our community.

Suspended, really? They should be immediately fired for their inappropriate behavior. Then I think that the boy should be able to taser the cops and slap their faces as many times as he wants-till he feels better.

How long is this trauma going to last for this child? Is he now going to grow up thinking that the police are the enemy?

Someone needs to get control over these over zealous authoritarians.

10-year tasered by the Martinsville Police Department. Nice. Sure makes one proud, I’ll tell you.

Is this the example we want to send to the parents of children in this community? If you kid is out of control, deck him in the head then taser him. He'll calm right down.

Peace.

Two against one is no fun, especially when they are carrying guns and tasers. Whoa, seems the term judgement is missing from the equation. There are some most honorable officers in the world, but, whomever these two losers are, it's obvious that these two are suffering from the same mental issues of power and control. Using force on an unarmed boy at a daycare center??????? Does the law apply to these guys, not in their minds. Who's chasing the pot smokers, meth cookers, judges wives and drunken superintendents. Man, you people in Morgan County sure know how to hire the good ones? Who's in charge there Dog the Bounty Hunter. Zero IQ.

first of all the need for this kind of force on a 10 year old child is ridiculous especially by so called trained officers of the law and they should not only be fired but have criminal charges against them as well if as a parent i did this i would have my kids yanked and be charged second why is this daycare allowing this kid to continue there when repetedly they have had to call cops there as they can not controll him they too should be responsible and shame on them for knowingly putting other children at risk they should be shut down and not allowed to operate a daycare shame shame shame on officers and daycare owner

As hard as it is to find any "good" in this story, at least the city police had the good sense to call in another agency to investigate the incident. I remember several years ago Martinsville police investigated one of their own on criminal charges...and he still works there. In fact, ran for mayor just recently. If the investigation reveals this story to be as it appears, both officers should be fired and brought up on criminal charges. We'll see.

Once again another example of someone with authority going over the line. Why is it that certain law enforcement people fell so entitled to use unnessary force. I'm a big supporter of our firemen and policemen, but certain people cannot handle the responsibility that comes with the job. and as with any job out there it's time for those two officers to be shown the door. I couldn't imagine if that happened to my son. I realize he was out of control, but there are better ways to deal with the situation. It's a shame

Have our officers been trained on dealing with these types of situations? Did they stop to ask or think that there could be more than the child being out of control. Maybe the child's thought processing takes longer than usual especially in a situation like this; maybe the child has some sort of disability or special need. Of course those of us making comments were not at the scene and don't know what truly happened, but I have one major problem with the whole situation......why weren't two "professionals" who should be trained in these types of situations acting more professionally? Could you not physically restrain or have patience. I guess I can say I am glad these officers do not try to work in our school builldings when these kind of things happen.

as ticked as i am about the police why is it no one is concerned about the daycare why did they continue to keep this child knowing the risk yes police are wrong but my understanding is this is an ongoing issue with daycare so why have they allowed him to stay there and why are parents allowing there children to go there knowing so little regard for there safety is taken into consideration when accepting applicants both are in the wrong im guessing they were making good money on this child and chose to take the chance obviously they were not trained to deal with him and should never have accepted him

Suspended with pay?????????
That's real nice, show them they can go around and use tasers on 10 year olds and get a paid vacation!!!!!

REAL SMART!!!!

And another thing, let me slap some child thats "out of control" and see if the Morgan County Police don't come to arrest me!!!!!

FIRE THEM, press criminal charges and show them that "THEY" are NOT above the LAW!

I'm really holding back on this subject... He's a child... THINK!!!
Help him, don't hurt him...
