Slap on the wrist is no surprise

I have a child in middle school and that has never happened. Where are you getting your information? Also, do you know from personal experience that someone was not hired with a misdemeanor on their record? Explain. |
| petemoss Wednesday, April 14, 2010: 6:29 am More from petemoss | I just heard that my predictons about the religious conversion of Mr. Furness took place this last weekend, as Mr. Furness began his biblical tour of Martinsville's churches. How predictable are the "elite" of Martinsville. Excellent article from Sharon Frentz. When are the "good" people of Martinsville going to take back their city and county and start kickin' some tail and taking names. If you apply for a job in Martinsville School Systems, make sure to take the downtown tour of the drinking clubs so you can assure your hiring will take place. Is the entire city and county run by liquor? |
| Nurse Friday, April 30, 2010: 1:22 am More from Nurse | On April 28 You could have found our fearless leader at the Texac Coral in Martinsville at the bar..>Looks like he learned his lesson well...Thank you to the school board for leaving such a great role model for our children to look up to...(just in case that is pure sarcasm) |

| Greg Friday, April 30, 2010: 10:43 pm More from Greg | ***RUMOR*** has it that he was seen driving a county vehicle this week, as well. I will do some more research and post back here either way. I sure hope not! |

DUMP THE SCHOOL BOARD. I'll copy and paste something from MCTO that explains why we have local government and not Washington DC running our town. It's not until we start confronting our elected servants on the street- in their church- in the store- on the phone- at work- getting out of the car and yes even in the public rest rooms about the way they disrespect us and our money will they stop spending and taking more than we have. This is what our founding fathers considered necessary to make local government work. Now that my seem a little radical to what we have been so conveniently taught by our leaders but that is the reason for local government. It's intended to be more personal and assessable to the people and their realities than someone at the state or federal level could be. When the politician holding a school board office has to see you on the street and deal with you and your family in day to day life then they are more inclined to be in-touch with you and your children's realities because if they don't serve those needs they can't hide from you. If we are expected to only exercise are community rights at the voting booth then they should do away with our local government all together and run things from afar. Local politics are personal politics and as with all personal relationships contact and communications on feelings must be exercised and not only at some prescribed moment set by just one who participates in the relationship but exercised by all parties in this relationship as and when their may feelings dictate. So, confront our elected school politicians on the street- in their church- in the store- on the phone- at work- getting out of the car and yes even in the public rest rooms about the way they disrespect us the lives and minds of our children that they would make one man's employment more important than your child's life. How dare you allow this kind of treatment of your child. Of course if you really loved your child you would GET THEM OUT AND AWAY FROM THE GEC's. In the eye's of your child just the fact that you send them there is an endorsement of everything they teach them and do to them. The Lord has given the responsibility for their training and well being to you. . |
| Greg Sunday, May 2, 2010: 1:26 pm More from Greg | For the record, I've still not been able to either confirm or refute that Furniss was driving a county vehicle. We definitely need to keep our eyes peeled. |
