Oh, my goodness, Jane, I thought the same thing. I understand this line received a huge laugh and a huge applause when made at the dinner--the duplicity to me was the current issue of the policemen who kicked a.. and, well, we know the rest of THAT story. But this parent gets an award and a standing ovation. All three men involved in these two stories would explain they were just "doing their job", right? |
