Another awesome staff editorial from the paper. I hope the Reporter Times continues in this direction. The gritty commentary on local issues is exactly what it needs to bring back subscribers.

Hopefully the residents of Brooklyn will learn from their mistakes and replace the morons on the board who rehired this twit.

Great opinion piece. The members of the board who support Carlyle are not fit to serve and should step down.

I have family that lives in Brooklyn and they opposed this person being rehired. But the board is comprised of individuals who are personal friends of this man so it should be no surprise that he was hired back into his old position. This town marshall was also personal friends with the child molester that was living within 1000 feet of Brooklyn school. When it was discovered the child molester was too close to the school and the demand was made for him to move from the pastors house he was residing in, Carlye would not uphold the law. He should have been fired from his position at that instant. But again, the board is comprised of personal friends of his and the pastor who is also a brother-in-law to the child molester. Unfortunately this kind of problem is common in small communities everywhere.
