Don't forget to vote tomorrow!

Vote Deckard!!

Vote Arthur!!

Mayor Deckard,

I find that the best solution to Liberty is just to simply mark him/her off as nuts and move on, and deal with the slight aggravation of scrolling past his/her senseless ramblings.

Good luck in your re-election tomorrow Mr. Deckard.

Liberty:
Thank you for your sensible comments, and I agree. As a matter of fact, I did speak with Brian Culp (and, yes, he's a fine person) and, as I recall, it was Brian who gave me the number for the Counsel for the Press. I called to verify that, indeed, I had not violated the Open Door Policy and when it was verified, I was satisfied with that and saw no reason to have it reported on again. I made my statement to the news at the time and, as far as I was concerned, it was put to rest. You can rest assured, if there was fact for an investigation...there would have been one. Thank you for you statements and, I stand by what I've said. And, it has nothing to do with the political season...I would have defended myself regardless. Thank you.
Mayor Phil R. Deckard

Just wondering, what was the amount of the tax increase to the folks living in the TIF district? What is the median income in the TIF district? What is the amount being offered to the senior community owners? Are there any local investors in this senior community?

Lest we forget, the former Mayor left the city residents with a big bill and mess for the fire station that had to be addressed by the current administration and council. Notice how he completely avoids that when talking about his fiscal management skills! Where were his fiscal management skills then when good fiscal skills and planning were needed? He didn't have them then and still doesn't have them. Deckard and the council worked through those issues, and they are still moving forward. Deckard for Mayor!
