Now we know...in Morgan County, you can't own what you want on your own property nor can you do what you want with it.

Too much government.

This is a great example of local government working for the active citizen and also why a close and local government is best.

Liberty, you just didn't want to see that 60 year old lady's tail end. TeeHee.

I guess I don't get it. You support Mr. Walter's but not the gay camp. Are these not both personal liberty issues?

I don't care if 5000 people showed up. This is nothing more than imposing popular will on a citizen of the United States of America.

Hoos, This is easy. Mr. Walter's personal property issue is about having lawn ornaments of his choosing and leaving others alone. He will attract no one. The Homo camp attracts the traffic of some with an emotional/sexual perversion. The the greatest and most perfect possible study known ( the catholic church ) we found that those with this sexual perversion were not able to control it. Unlike heterosexuals all homosexual designated places have sex activity on premises. The camp would attract many of the worst sexually sick from a large area of this state. To get to this camp they would have to travel past family homes with children out playing or riding their bikes on the road. Pedophilia is well accepted among the male with this emotional perversion which makes this a public safety issue.

Those who agree with this sickness and pedophilia would say "it's their right to do it, besides young teenage boy seem to not put-up a fight".

Those who don't agree gets elected to represent citizens of Morgan County.

Another question.....What about the gay camp that is already here? How has that been detrimental to our community? You can google the camp, it is called Camp Buckwood (too funny), males only. The website states that they are in Brown County, yet they have a Morgantown address. It's on Spearsville Road and has been since 2001, I think that's when they became established. As far as I know, there have been no missing children or molested children in Morgantown. Not to mention, the camp is decorated very well.

Hoos,

You having no idea of problems mean you have no idea of problems.
The molested lips are sealed. Very few ever speak and thats why you must take protective action up front when it comes to your children. Thats what these citizen are doing. Good Mothers and Fathers know that being very protective of their children is their first and most important duty as a parent and thats who the board listened to. Praise God.

I am glad that this camp was rejected. Sin is Sin and God's word does not change. If the board had approved it would have been very upset. I sm proud of those who made a stand against this lifestyle of those who have a retrobate mind and lay in wait for victims in roadside parks and such. No one is born Gay it is a learned life style. I am saddened that our PRESIDENT is supporting the gay right cause. Judgement day is coming friend! Its about time God's children started standing up for his word ! We have set idle too long. Good work Christians !

Liberty, Personally, I think if you are hunting a child molester-check the kitchen. That’s where you will find most of them. Surely, we can agree that most children are molested by someone REAL close to them. Not some random person driving to get his freak on at a swinger’s camp or male only camp.

It seems that folks have a problem with the activity and all the other complaints are, as Bill O’Reilly would say, just spin. This activity goes against every religious belief that most folks around here have. I get it. So, why would you not take this opportunity to welcome these newcomers, introduce yourself and try to show them the light? Why not invite them to church to meet your maker? Why hinder their property rights? Why not show them what you have found with the love of God?

I’m just sayin’.

How dare you people refer to this as some sort of homosexual perversion.

Don't allow the camp, fine, there are plenty of reasons on why it would hurt the surrounding area or cause a problem with trafic, sewer, fire, etc.

Yes, despite what they are trying to say, this is a camp for homosexuals...But DAMN, I am so tired of people making this town look like a bunch of biggots.

Although I am not into the swinging or the homosexual lifestyle I believe that this should be completely up to the land owners decision on what to do with their property. My neighbor has a bunch of broke down cars on his property and the guy across from him lives in a manufactured house. Neither one of these people help my property value, but they are great people and I wouldn't want different neighbors.

Ms. Partlow please do not think that Martinsville is full of people who would like to tell you how to run your life. Just realize that the town is a little old fashioned and it will most likely condemn anything that you want to do that doesn't fit in the gallant column of the church pamphlet. Unless of course you are a drunk driving school official, a mayor has illegal secret meetings, or a couple policemen who like to abuse an elementary aged boy.

Liberty, did you really cite a catholic church study on homosexuality and in the same paragraph mention pedophiles? I find that a little ironic.
