I do not blame the 4-legged animals. It's too bad that irresponsible "owners" bring harm to their pets. It's just like children if you are not responsible enough to raise, support and train them, you do not deserve to have them. Period. I hate it that these animals (4-legged) might be killed due to the "owners" stupidity.

My dog is NEVER out of my sight, out of doors. Ever.

They are buck towners. What can be expected, other than double negatives and pit bulls?

The dog in this picture is not a boxer. 50-60 staples in that poor woman's legs? She would know which dogs attacked her. Protest all you want folks-you're also looking at a hellava law suit, as you should be.

This is so sad. But, when you have ignorant people with pets it happens. I have seen certain other people in town with pit bulls and other large dogs with no leashes, no fences nothing. I witnessed an idiot a few years back who let his dog roam free and she attacked everything that came near the sidewalks - including kids coming home from school AND police officers who finally did something. People who have dangerous dogs can have NO excuses when it comes to attacks. They either properly take care of them or they don't get to have them. It reall is that simple.

Who cares if it is a pit bull or a tea cup poodle? What matters is that the dog attacked someone and caused significant damage. It needs to be put down. period. The owners should've spent time training the dog instead of wasting time protesting now.

I live about 2 miles from where this happened. My wife, 3 small children, and I frequently walk down this road. If this would've happened to us, all of her dogs would already be dead and she wouldn't have to worry about the humane society.

And your point is? I happen to live in the West end of town you are referring to. Due to your ignorance and lack of diligence in geography, these folks live in another part of the county. But I'm sure your much greater than thou, with mu ch more than us "Buck Towners". Excellent observation on the story and great input Wonton, "Stupid is as stupid does"

Yes I agree with just observing.. It doesn't matter where you live or what planet you are from. That is beside the point. Loving caring and being a responsible pet owner IS the point. And sometimes no matter how hard we try with our animals "crap" happens. (no pun intended) It sounds like the owner was trying to be a good owner. The dog was in the house under air conditioning when the dog got out. the question is has the dog ever bitten someone BEFORE?? And were there any other witnesses to which dog bit this poor lady. Must keep prejudice of people and BREEDS of dogs out. This has gotten Martinsville in trouble before!
