The registered ones are less dangerous usually than the "respectable community members" who just haven't been caught yet. Sounds like they've all just grabbed on to this one issue and are ganging up like a wolf pack. They are all around you, people, registered or not. Just keep watch of your kids.

I have a special dislike for child molesters. Howsever, it seems that by posting signs and continuously calling attention to the man, they are their own worst enemy in damaging the neighborhood. He knows that you are aware and angry, and is not likely to antagonize you further with that behavior. Meanwhile, you have advertised an atmosphere that has ruined a business and hurt home sales.

Agree with Phantom. I'm not a fan of child molesters but it's going a little too far to protest and put signs up. Think about how many non-registered offenders are out there and you stand next to them at the grocery store or when you pick your kids from school. At least he is following the law and actually registering.

Woods also is trying to sell his home. Before it became known that Glasscock was living next to him, Woods said he was getting two to three calls a week about his property.
Here's a hint. It might have something to do with the Big Yellow signs in your Front Yard.

Where I live, there are 9 registered offenders within a 2 block radius of our house. They have to live somewhere. If they are compliant and don't cause trouble, why bother them. The big yellow signs don't help anyone. I wouldn't want to advertise that if it was me.

I don't see anything wrong with the sign, but don't complain that you cannot sell your house. You are advertising the biggest drawback to buying your property. Grow-up and leave the guy alone, he paid his debt to society and seems, according to this article, to be living by the law. Child molesters are everywhere,at least you know where this one is!

Easier said than done, we aren't living next to them and I doubt their protest goes on much longer. So unless you have young children and are living next door, it's easy to say "well I would......"

To the Honaker’s: Germany used to operate institutions for individuals such as Mr. Glasscock. And I am sure you know from your history what a shining example of the protection of human rights they were. Maybe there is a lesson here?

I am wondering if any of the protesters call themselves Christians and if so, how they defend their actions in light of the Biblical admonition to live at peace with everyone.
Under the guise of protecting their children, they have decided to inflict punishments that our law does not see fit to hand out. They also are denying God's power to change lives, taking the unwavering position that once a molester, always a molester. How sad. I pray they will make peace.

I know there are two schools of thought and considerations when dealing with this issue. One may look at it as a crime another looks at it as an infectious incurable disease.
If dealing with it as a CRIME then once a man or woman's time is spent then their penalty for the crime has been served and they are free. Under the law. But, on the other side of the stick their are those who have read all the medical and psychological studies of it being an illness of sexual addiction. Just like homosexuality and consider it not so curable and making their concerns founded in science and their objections the same as if smallpox was close by. The law has provisions for smallpox and has the write to physically quarantine those against their will in the name of the public health. When Jesus walked the earth it was accepted to separate those with leapersy from the others in the name of public heath. Infectious disease have wiped out whole tribes and nations of people and since a higher percentage of those molested , become molesters one can understand that it can be lawful, both scripturally and publicly to separate and quarantine.
I believe the law recognizes this as a disease by providing some form of quarantine and protections for the community already. Rather it's enough has to be left up to the community at risk. The Constitution provides no guarantees protecting a right allowing the spread of communicable disease and again the voters of the community who are at risk should decide as long as it's not cruel or unusual measures.
To say it's not curable would be saying that the homosexual addiction isn't curable an I know that thousands and thousands have completely surrendered to Jesus and have over come. There are many large ministries out there that help those who come seeking it. So I agree with Nobody Important on this one that Jesus can save and cure all who Accepts Christ as their Lord, repenting and giving all of themselves over and completely surrendering to His will.
If He can do that for the homosexual then He certainly can do that for a child molester. I didn't see anywhere in this article that this man in question surrendered to Christ. If he has then praise God and if he hasn't then I Pray he will because Jesus wants him to. Unless and until he does the disease is still a disease.
Just to keep things in perspective I offer a couple of thoughts.
First, In the Muslim world where their religion requires the conversion and control of their own governments and that so many want are jumping to constitutionally protect today marry, in the name of their religion, children at the age of 9. Not just one child but many are permissible. They are promised if martyred to receive many more children as rewards in their heaven of child sex. Yet nobody will report on this mass molestation of children all in the name of their religion. The are protected.
Secondly, another thought to consider is that at the age of 10 years old in Morgan County the GEC schools teach teach children how to have sex with other children thinking that when they grow-up some won't be confused ? Yes folk the child molesting Kinsey that the NEA and the educators modeled and designed their sex-ed programs after are just creating at an ever increasing rate many more Kinsey's . These adults usually have no Idea why they do the things they do and do it innocently without control. Just as innocent as they were the fist day a strange teacher sat down and started talking to them in front of other 10 year olds about thier penis's and vaginas and how to have sex with each other. Of course they presume it's ok to do because they are being taught to do it. By a strange adult who the worthless parents allowed to take their children into a room to do this to them. 10 years later the parent are sitting in a court room crying as their sons and daughters are being sentenced. I understand that many can't understand this so they won't. But that doesn't change any of this and so it just keeps getting worst. Where are they going to live without damnation ? Sex-ed in the GECS have to stop now. OR ?
Now before we crucify we should at least take some solace moments to reflect on the true scope of this community tragedy. What it is and why we protect and promote some in the name of religion and condemn and crucify the ones we manufacture in the name of the GECS, Kinsey and the NEA.
