More from Pinky
|The township needs this expansion. The tax increase is miniscule compared to what is received in return, which would be greater service, more reliable service, lower homeowner's insurance, and greater peace of mind. Also, keep in mind, that Harrison Township is NOTHING like Madison Township. Harrison Township FD is surviving on a shoestring budget and barely surviving. It is an all-volunteer department. In the past, the tax rate was decreased slowly every year until nearly all funding for the department was taken away. If such drastic decreases had not occured in the past, the money would be there now to support this station.|
God forbid someone dies because they had to wait 30 min for an ambulance or help to arrive. That is the average wait time in that area right now.

More from I wonder....
|Did not Harrison Township have an affordable first reponse team several years ago at a much lower cost than an ambulance?|
Did trustee Hinton nix it?
Just why does Harrison township have a budget of over $100 per resident per year with almost all the money going to the trustee and the advisory board?
Just why does Harrison township have over $700 per resident in the bank amounting to over $100,000?
Should that money not be given back to the taxpayers?
Or better yet, why not use the reserves and drop the trustee system altogether.
Indiana has too many overlapping districts. Harrison Township is the smallest township in Indiana. Let's start reform here!
