With the extraordinarily dry crops and the forest losing it's moister protecting canopy ( due to the falling of the prematurely dried up leaves falling ) a complete ban of all fires is a MUST.

With the crop fires from harvesting and the potential of more we have the fire fighting infrastructure available to fight additional threats and any such fires would be non- controllable and would be a historical disaster for the county with lose of lives and homes.

This isn't an popularity game nor should any considerations be given to the fall camping crowd.

Peoples lives and homes are now in danger.

COMPLETE BAN ON ALL FIRES NOW.

This is really intriquing. Folks usually on the side of personal responsibility and liberty calling for governmental restriction on actions. Hmmmm. By the way, I believe a ban is called for. I heard recently of an 80 year old man who objected to his neighbor's burining and he was threatened with physical violence if he didn't keep his nose out of the burner's business.

Hey Nobody, If you look back last week you'll find that after my post there were a rash of crop fires that threaten large areas around this county and others. In this county with conditions like this, one cigarette butt could kill many and destroy a multitude of homes and livestock. Some people may not understand that just parking your car ones front lawn can start a deadly forest fire. My concern was only civics 101.

Haven't heard from you for a while, hope all is well you. I enjoyed your post on the Constitution Day story :)
