You're kidding, right? Sorry, the hopey- changy thingy isn't working for anyone I've seen! Pretty Brad needs to go back to Evansville where he can be Sheriff for 20 more years, even tho we all know nobody can be Sheriff for 20 STRAIGHT years in Indiana! Yes, Brad thinks we're stupid, too!

What the heck are you smoking, Bobby?? Anyone who supports the current administration and its crackpot policies needs to be voted out of office. Get back to watching Oprah, Bobby. I'm sure the couch misses you.

So, you have a choice: A Democrat who just got the NRA's endorsement; (he shoots guns real good) and he's pro-life; (he doesn't believe in abortion); he's got a clean record in law enforcement (it means he ran a tight ship as two term sheriff), he doesn't believe in bashing opponents (he ran against a far right ideologue who ran radio commercials bashing him in his congressional run - and he responded by NOT doing that in return)

VS.....

Dan Coats....a retired ex-Senator who has lobbied D.C. for big oil, big pharma and NOTHING to do with Indiana or Hoosiers. Who, all of the sudden, is an "outsider" who wants to go back to D.C. to put up a fight???

Who's smoking what here?????

Here's what I have deduced from living here:

Republicans = good

Democrats = evil

No matter what.

Who's not making any sense???????????????

As long as we keep this going, they'll all keep elected (both parties) and pretty soon we'll be done for.

But, at least I can watch Oprah one more season, huh?

As I see My Coats is no better than a call girl selling his service to the highest bidder by lobbing all these years in Washington.

Here's what I think. Most people didn't know Marlin Stutzman. Most probably didn't bother taking the time to meet him and ask questions. let alone take the time to find out his views. However, most people remember Coats, this is where the "knowing" comes into play, therefore, because he is/was a familiar name he got voted for. Not because of his past voting record or his views, but because he had name recognition. That's it.

RC, there where many of us that didn't vote for Coats, we voted for Stutzman because we took the time to educate ourselves. That also includes the "defender of the faith" as you say. That's right. the local party supported Stutzman, not Coats. As strange as it is, because I believe in being honest, I have to back The local party and the chairman. And if I'm right on who they are, Lassiter, Ratcatcher and Liberty can all back me up on this one. So no, RC, there was no attempted brainwashing towards Coats. He wasn't and probably still isn't considered conservative enough. We knew he was a moderate. Unfortunately, the state as a whole voted for him. So he's our nominee. So in this case, I have no problem holding my nose to vote. The alternative would be to elect someone that has already voted to force bigger, more intrusive government on us. At least Coats won't do it as fast.

I voted for Stutzman in May. I certainly will not vote for Ellsworth in November. It has nothing to do with anything he says, instead it will be related to his voting record.

I, too, voted for Stutzman and it was, indeed, name recognition that got Senator Coats the nomination. At least Mr. Stutzman will be heading to the U.S. House of Representatives to replace Congressman Souder. My vote will go to Dan Coats as a vote AGAINST Obama/Pelosi!!
