| copeman Tuesday, October 12, 2010: 10:19 am More from copeman | Maybe the school should have sent a message to parents LAST week when all this came about.. My daughter told us about it last week...nothing from the school...If parents would have been told then perhaps the rumors wouldn't have been as crazy. |
| Cowboy Tuesday, October 12, 2010: 12:43 pm More from Cowboy | If the threat was never credible than how was it neutralized? Once again, MCSD screws up by putting a scare not only in the parents, but the students. When was the last time MCSD practiced drills similiar to this one or have they ever? I am REALLY put off by the school system. Perhaps we should have replaced our superintendent back in the summer, and WHY did they wait so long to notify everyone? This past weekend was SUPPOSED to have been a happy Fall Foliage Festival weekend for our kids, instead we find out they've been living in fear. Sorry MCSD, you get an "F" in this case. But the again, why am I not surprised? |
| wonton Tuesday, October 12, 2010: 1:52 pm More from wonton | The threat was never credible because the student who wrote this threat, turned himself in, and was expelled. In my opinion that would be considered neutralized. MSD did exactly what they needed to do. |

....and then made a BIG DEAL of nothing in the press. There was absolutely no need for this to be blown out of proportion, after the fact, a week later |
| Auntie Tuesday, October 12, 2010: 10:06 pm More from Auntie | My child was worried about this all wee! Is it proper punishment for the child that wrote this on the bathroom wall only be punished by having 9 days suspended out of school? He's old enough to understand what it means to do something like this in this day and age, he should not be allowed back at MHS. He should not be allowed back to this school. Zero tolerance. |
