The boy is 18 knows how to drive a vehicle and as I recall if a firefighter whether its your dad or not tells you to help them wheteher it be drive, spray water, hold someones head or direct traffic you assist and help. Mr Reed in my eyes you did the right thing to protect and put out more then what you were doing with just one hose. WTG! Atleast the 18 year old who is learning the Job didnt burn a truck up like a career firefighter at Madison |
| BeenThereDoneThat Saturday, October 30, 2010: 1:19 pm More from BeenThereDoneThat | Reprimanded for putting out a fire in a faster way? IMO that shows no support from the higher ups for the men and women who put their lives on the line. The young man is old enough to die for his country, his father has been on the department forever and was trying to do his job, yet the brass is going to be influenced by a group of hate-filled folks still carrying out a personal vendetta? That's just sad my friends. If this had happened at a CCGT's property and he just sat in the truck driving with his son, we would still be reading about a letter being sent, except it would have been criticizing the department for not getting the fire out fast enough! Wake up people! It's time to empower some new folks that don't have a case of "cranial rectitus" |
| EYE IN THE SKY Saturday, October 30, 2010: 2:50 pm More from EYE IN THE SKY | Mr. Harris.....GOOD LUCK |
| Ratcatcher Saturday, October 30, 2010: 3:48 pm More from Ratcatcher | Excuse me but what is it any of Ms. Brown's business what happens at the Brown Township fire department when she is a resident of Gregg Township? As far as Mr. Harris goes I look forward to him taking over as trustee and running a tight ship. |
| herefornow Saturday, October 30, 2010: 6:51 pm More from herefornow | Dora, can you please post your Brown Township tax bill? "Our trucks?" Now didn't you help your husband outfit even younger teenagers in fire gear when he ran Gregg Township's cadet program- including former cadet Ricky Tankersley? The only thing more ridiculous is the Reporter-Times again giving her the name recognition she seems to crave. Captain Reed, anyone who say overhead video from this fire would understand the exigent circumstances involved in placing your son behind the wheel. |
| herefornow Saturday, October 30, 2010: 8:59 pm More from herefornow | Sorry, that was "saw" the overhead video that played on at least two of the news stations. |
| Spanky Saturday, October 30, 2010: 10:21 pm More from Spanky | Seems like Brown Twp officials handled the issue. Case closed. Someone should tell Dora Brown to get her ass (assuming she could have ridden her pet donkey to Mooresville if she had one, but I have no actual knowledge of such a trip, nor of her actually owning a beast of burden) back to Wilbur. I'd also be curious to know, since Dora Brown has made herself a public figure with her deep concern over the manner in which tax dollars are doled out, just how many of her immediate and extended family, past and present, if any, have received any sum of said public funding through welfare, Medicaid, foodstamps, free/reduced school lunches? Hmmmm, Dora? Would you care to answer, being the public figure that you are, I feel we are entitled (no pun intended) to know. |
| herefornow Sunday, October 31, 2010: 11:40 am More from herefornow | Don't know about that Spanky, but I do know she has benefited from tax dollars when her husband was employed by the Gregg Township Fire Department. He left right before she suddenly complained about tax dollars used to fund the ambulance in Gregg Township. Is hypocrisy a disease or a condition? |
