I also thank the Mooresville Park & Rec Board for providing a safe place to go. I however will not be returning next year. Last year was awesome and definitely worth the time; the kids had a blast! This year was a totally different story! It took 2 hours to get around the mile (which wouldn't have been a big deal) but 1/3 to 1/2 of the stations didn't have anything for the kids. It was very disappointing! We spent so much time at the park getting nothing that we didn't have time to go anywhere else! We had to go to CVS to get some actual candy for the kids because they literally only had like 10 little pieces of gum or candy. I love the stations and so do the kids, but I think the Park was definitely not ready for that crowd!

Eye in the Sky-I don't live in Martinsville thank you very much. I choose not to go to Martinsville unless I absolutely HAVE to. I am not real sure why you felt you had to comment on my post. Your thoughts had absolutely no value.

Scooter..I feel my post had plenty of value. Value you should teach to your children. Be thankful for what you got! So sad there are free loaders like you in the world. Maybe next year you can help lead a donation campaign so that there will be enough candy for you and your kids!

Eye In The Sky-I am sorry that you feel I am a freeloader. I work a 40 hour week on dayshift and my husband works 12 shifts on nightshifts. We don't spend much time as a family due to the fact that we are not freeloading and making YOU pay for us or our kids. My point was merely that the Mooresville Park was definitely not expecting that kind of crowd and next year I will go to family and friend's. Truthfully, I hate Halloween and think that begging for candy is stupid, but you know what...the kids love it and I will continue to take them for that reason alone. They were thankful for what they did receive but I could see the disappointment in their face every single time they were told "Sorry, we're out". Furthermore, your post didn't have any value. You telling me to go back to Martinsville had nothing what-so-ever to do with my post or the Trick-or-Treating OR teaching my kids anything. I am sorry that you seemed to be upset with me letting Mooresville Park know that it didn't go as well this year. Feedback...it is what makes things run smoother and that is all that I was trying to give them. Now, the year after next, when they have a year to recover from this VERY busy one will be when we try it again.
