So let me get this straight, according to the story, Ms Flake is 27. According to the story she applied for widow benefits in 1996. Maybe it's me, but according to the math I know, Ms Flake would only have been 13 in 1996.

I'm just saying.

Just received notice from insurance company that we will have to pay for other people's 26 year old (that won't leave home) children's health-care expenses. Humm.. Does that now give us the right to go and lick other people's insecure children's rear-ends out of the house ?

Obviously GEC socialization victims are having an impact on all of us. We watch the youth that learn their socialization skills from children having a harder time when thrown into a word of adults. Look around. That doesn't happen with homeschooled people. Now we have an financial incentive to promote more homeschooling. Fast.

Anyone else getting their increase notices yet ?

There seems to be a most embarrassing typo and in the worst possible sentence. Change that "L" to a "K". This may not have been so bad in a sentence that didn't include a certain other word. :)

Danny, It was a Gypsy Traveler, shot-gun, weddin'. She married her uncle-daddy, Elroy, her first cousin, once removed. For God’s sake keep up!!

So is anyone else wondering if her husband, Officer Whitley, knew she was still getting SSA checks but didn't report the fraud???

I'm wondering the same thing, Mcbacker. I'm also wondering what kind of cop marries someone with a criminal background like the one she has. I think officer Whitley's got some explaining to do.

Note to Mr. Stewart: Attention to detail is very important. From the article, we learn Ms. Flake (appropriate name?) is currently 37. Therefore in 1996, 14 years ago, she would have been 23, NOT 13 years old.

Perhaps you missed it earlier. The article originally stated she was 27 not 37. Now, if you had paid attention to details, you would notice the article was last updated at 1:29 pm. My statement was at 12:04 pm. Nice try though.

Nice try to you, Mr. Stewart. I believe that after the articles are updated, the earlier versions are no longer available. Therefore I would have no way of knowing that or if the newspaper had earlier made a mistake. Perhaps you should direct your anger or sarcasm at the newspaper, rather than at me.

Sadly, her kids will be the ones paying for her misdeed. They are great kids in a bad situation.
