Pressler family talks about mother’s death, lack of trial
read more recent story comments Reader comments| Ed Sunday, November 28, 2010: 8:16 am More from Ed | I am glad the children of Mrs. Pressler are pursuing Reynolds with any legal ramification that is available to keep him out of the medical profession for good. It makes me sick that the autopsy was botched by an incompetent medical examiner and I think he should be stripped of his credentials and booted to the street! Maybe Mrs. Presslers children or someone else will pursue that next. The children of Sandra Pressler knew he was a bad medical provider just as myself and the majority of the population here knew he was a bad medical provider. His botched medical procedures are no secret. I alone have two family members who were nearly maimed for life due to his incompetence. Had they not realized that something was not quite right in their “healing” process and not pursued second opinions, one would not be able to use his right hand and the other would have had permanent leg damage and a limp/reduced mobility for life! It is no secret that he has been an alcoholic for the majority of his carrier. He has been drunk in public and while "attending" at the local hospital. I have witnessed him in a drunken stupor, twice, recently. One of his drunken debuts was at a public meeting at city hall. He stumbled to the microphone and slurred his words. He was speaking of the dangers posed from second hand smoke/smoking in public....and then he crawled behind the wheel of his Cadillac and barreled down the streets. The CEO of the local hospital was also aware of his drunken behavior, yet Reynolds was allowed to continue practicing under the influence for YEARS. Are you paying attention Clarian?!!! If you put a call out to the public and dig through past records, I’m sure you’ll find evidence of this. Maybe that will warrant you to make the appropriate, permanent changes/elimination. |
| PostmanTom Sunday, November 28, 2010: 9:48 am More from PostmanTom | Hey Ed, "If" it's true that you witnessed his drunken acts in public and said nothing till now, your just as guilty. I dont believe that he was drunk while attending patients at the hospital or it would have been investigated. You also don't attend public meetings obviously drunk and drive away and get away with it unless the others (including you) present were to stupid to get involved. Dr.Renolds very much cared for Sandra. If she had died at any other persons home it would have been an unfortunat thing, but since it was a Dr.'s home it's blamed on the Dr. Much of what you said Ed, could be construde as slander if you don't have a way to prove it. So you better watch it! If his botched med pratices and being an alcoholic was no secret(as you stated), where is the proof? |
| Cerberus Sunday, November 28, 2010: 11:33 am More from Cerberus | @PostmanTom You need to talk to any of the surgery nurses that were on the receiving end of one of his tirades. I think you will find Ed's comments factual. While you are doing your investigation ask them if they also felt comfortable in speaking out with our hospital administrative staff, past or present, about him and his practices. Let us know what you find. |
| PostmanTom Sunday, November 28, 2010: 1:08 pm More from PostmanTom | Still no proof, eh? I'm waiting. |
| Greg Sunday, November 28, 2010: 1:21 pm More from Greg | Postman, I don't have any proof about Dr. Reynolds either, but I can assure you that he will never be able to get a fair trial in this city. I don't personally know anyone involved in this issue, but the resounding cry since his arrest has been "It's about time!" From a completely uninvolved point of view, he's as guilty as sin itself, and everyone knew it for a long time. Furthermore, regardless of your connection with the issue, no one is going to pay much attention to a One-post Wonder. |
| PostmanTom Sunday, November 28, 2010: 3:06 pm More from PostmanTom | So Greg, you have found Dr. Renolds Guilty untill proven inoccent based on gossip(based on your "I don't have any proof" and"guilty as sin" statement). Thank goodness the courts still use the judgement of inoccent untill proven Guilty. |
| unforgettable70 Sunday, November 28, 2010: 3:59 pm More from unforgettable70 | ok enough is enough.. doesnt matter how mr reynolds acted in the past.. that wont bring my mother back..now why was his licenses suspended??BECAUSE OF MY MOTHERS DEATH , and why is he sitting jail? BECAUSE OF MY MOTHERS DEATH..the man thinks he is invincible, but finally after all these years karma has caught up with him. oh and for proof i know that the man has been to rehab just couple of years ago.. and why do think the man retired early.. |
| unforgettable70 Sunday, November 28, 2010: 4:15 pm More from unforgettable70 | ok calm down.. dont let people who dont know anything get you fired up... these are the kind of people that keep criminals on the streets. Postman ..i would appreciate if you would watch your words.. we are still having a hard time dealing with the fact and he wont be tried for my mothers death and that we had to walk away from a years worth of investgation, and jury trial etc etc..our family with never have closer with her death..and i my self feel i have let her down again.. so before you start running your mouth why dont you think about the family who is reading the comments. |
| friendof70 Sunday, November 28, 2010: 4:39 pm More from friendof70 | For those who want to criticize this family, please think before you speak! Don't judge when YOU do not know the facts. This family has been through so much and has had to watch someone they love die in the care of another. How would you feel if it were your mother? I'm sure you would feel the exact same! Even though it's been over a year, they are still mourning and do not need others to add fuel to their emotions. |

I believe the article plainly states that the "proof" was sealed by the court and that is good enough for me.
Usually with gossip there ia a grain of truth in there somewhere that started the whole thing. I used to work at the local hospital and clearly remember the former doctor being refered to as "the butcher" by many of the staff. That was until they were threatened with their jobs. Now I ask you, why would a bunch of medical professionals give a colleague that nickname? Go ahead and keep him for your own personal physician, Mr. Postman, but I think the rest of us have better sense than that. Now please take your insensitive and insulting comments somewhere else! |
| PostmanTom Sunday, November 28, 2010: 6:45 pm More from PostmanTom | Friendof70, never did I criticized Sandra's family. Ratcatcher, if you would read the post, I refered to proof of the drunkeness at public meetings and barreling down the road in a car and while attending at the hospital. |
| Greg Sunday, November 28, 2010: 7:05 pm More from Greg | Postman, I don't have any proof that water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen molecules, either. I have, however, heard a lot of "gossip" about it, and until someone with credibility offers me proof otherwise, I'm willing to listen to those who are familiar with such things. I still haven't seen proof that you're a postman. I think you may be slandering the post office. |
