Ron, Nice follow up. Well written.

Rat, Can I have your autograph?

Mr. Arthur, Keep the momentum rolling. We're behind you!

GOP, You should be ashamed of yourselves...and I mean REALLY ashamed. You just keep imploding upon yourselves. You just don't get it. The more crap you pull, the more people you drive away.

The good ole boys in Morgan County continue to operate with out any restrictions!!! The next time the Indianapolis news people come to town to investigate our police, mayor, county counsel or judges, doctors, teachers and the messes this town and county suffer from which are all self inflictied wounds, they will assume that our ignorance is matched nowhere else in the state. The polititians in Morgan County don't have the intelligence it takes to improve the quality of life for the residents here and they all come into office to achieve their secret agendas!!!! (Bowyer and Mason, Mayor after Mayor have all taken "it" on the side to vote for the secret agendas of the greedy individuals who are all looking for cash and material goods.)Our current Mayor represents the best of the Mayors I'ved lived through in my life time in Martinsville. The Kivet's are just an extention of the good ole boys system that continues to be the example that outsiders always see when they look at Martinsville. The Republicans and their hold on political office in Morgan County are the reason we will never be able to draw jobs and people to Martinsville and Morgan County. Those that claim to be our "LEADERS" don't have the education background to or the drive to reach out and work for all of the people of the city and county because they are all unable to get through their denials and commitments to the political leaders. Our local population isn't educated enough to draw jobs here based on the workers here to fill the jobs. Education is a joke here as well, with the majority of people here uninterested in the hard work necessary to get prepared for success in the "REAL" world economy. No manufacturing or production company will look at Martinsville as a viable location for a business based on what the local, and I use this term losely, "LEADERS" represent to them. Why does Deacatur County and Greensburg land a Honda manufacturing plant and Morgan County doesn't, because the leaders there got off their asses and defined what it would take to land that kind of factory and they made the community join in and get er done. There are a lot of great individuals in Morgan County and Martinsville and other cities, but, they are all apathetic about getting involved with and associated with the individuals in the "GOP" because they are such loosers and perpetuaters of the old with no education or experience to generate new ideas that would advance us to new, exciting, opportunities for the generations to come. This isn't about Doug Aurther or Ron Kivet, the Scotts, the Buskirks or the other families that seem to believe their destiny's require them to be our leaders, it's about the rest of us finally caring about the city of Martinsville like our leaders of the past (Jimmy Nash, Kenny Watson, John Wooden, Rev. Fred Sharp and many other good, honest, hard working individuals who cared about the town and who really had some morals and values that we could all identify with. Grow up folks and lets save our town and county from itself. Start looking for and finding new individuals to lead us out of this. Lawyers and political good ole boys and the uneducated aren't the ones to work for "ALL" the people' interests.

Pete,
Ya make some good points, some factual errors, but we know what you meant. I know from your post you're big on education. The problem is, I passed out from lack of oxygen 3 times tryin' to read it as it's written. May I suggest you GOOGLE "run on sentences", "punctuation" and "grammar".

Pete,

I do agree with the basic theme of your statement. In my recent studies and inquires into local politics, Doug Arthur (in my opinion) is one the individuals that you would prefer to have as a representative. Please do some homework.

Pete,

I sincerely hope that you are a registered voter, and attend council meetings. Lets start with electing Mr. Arthur to office and candidates with a similar attitude of his. Then don't stop there, call and make suggestions, ask questions with the confidence that those "to be elected" will actually listen. I agree it's not about two candidates it's about the town. I quote "People first, Party second" What does that tell ya? We got to start somewhere.

I just wanted to take a moment to say that I know Doug Arthur personally. When he was on the city council previously he always came into work and kept everyone updated on city affairs. Doug is hardworking and dedicated to what he does, and genuinely cares about the city of Martinsville. If you vote for him in the May primary I guarantee you that you will not be wasting your time or vote.
