What a great article; keep writing. My experiences at R. R. 1 Stafford Township were pretty much the same as far as my family were concerned; except for the year that Santa Claus didn't stop at our house. There was no crying, bitterness, etc., that's just the way the times were. I look on it today as a great learning experience.

I'm guessing that the year Santa Claus didn't stop at our house was probably the same year that any extra money that Mom and Dad had went into wiring our house for electricity and putting in "running water" in the kitchen; making life a whole lot easier especially for my Grandmother and Mother.

Also, I can't help but wonder; would a year without Santa Claus be a positive learning experience for the present generation of children and perhaps adults? (I'm just "wondering"; not looking for responses.)

Merry Christmas!
