| The Mayor Tuesday, December 28, 2010: 4:14 pm More from The Mayor | J. W. Miller...one of the kindest, fairest men (people) I have ever known. Met him in the early 70's when first dabbling in county wide politics. And, as County Clerk and later as County Assessor, I Soon found out that "politics" was not the issue with Jay...it was all about the individual and how they dealt with life's surroundings. We shared many experiences and, at election time, it was always my pleasure to fully support this man in all his endeavors, regardless of politics or who gave approval. I found him to be a very fair-minded individual and always willing to give assistance to those in need. So sorry I did not learn of his passing until after the fact. He leaves a fine family and our prayers and thoughts are with them during this trying time. Phil Deckard Family. |
| Blue Diamond Wednesday, December 29, 2010: 7:40 pm More from Blue Diamond | Jay was truly a wonderful man. He will be missed by many and I am just one of them. I knew him from my years on the Gregg Twp. Vol. FD in the early 70's. Had not seen him in many years, but remember him well. May God bless his family. |
