Snow gives drivers trouble
read more recent story comments Reader comments| Cowboy Tuesday, January 11, 2011: 11:06 am More from Cowboy | Why were Morgan County schools not closed when we knew this was coming in rather than waiting until busses were already running. Smart? I don't think so. Let's have the safety our our students more at hand next time instead of wondering if were going to get hit. Duh!!! |

| golforegal53 Tuesday, January 11, 2011: 12:10 pm More from golforegal53 | I drove to Bloomington from Foxcliff and had no problem...if you drive according to the conditions, clear your windows, use your headlights , it was no problem. THe problem was the idiots on the road that were driving 20 mph with their flashers on or the people that were driving like bats out of hell. 3 " of snow is not a reason to call off school! Maybe a 2 hour delay would have been in order...MOnore county roads are clear and they called off school before the storm began - STUPID! |

Pastor, I agree with your thought. I started to make a list of some other examples of the GEC rolling the dice with our children's lives but then stopped. Instead I will just ask others to make a list of anything the GEC system does that isn't " Rolling the dice with children's lives " The fact of the matter the parents are "Rolling the dice with children's lives" every time they force their children to submit to the world and be taught to conform to it's ways by sending them to the GEC system each day. Just bring some perspective to the thought. Peace . |
| simple man Tuesday, January 11, 2011: 8:07 pm More from simple man | I agree with Liberty and Pastor, safety first with our children. Whether your children ride the bus, walk or get driven to school. You cannot control how others drive and or react in these weather conditions. There is nothing wrong with children missing a few days of school, until weather conditions change and road conditions are better. |
