I think it is about time. If you read the article it tells you in print that it comes out of a totally different fund than where staffing is paid and will not cost the taxpayer's anything. This will benefit others besides the football program. The band will now have a field to host band competitions and so on. I think it is about time we update the facilities we have. This is a start!

Good luck getting Kutruff to share the football field with the band, or anyone else for that matter. He routinely kicks other athletes out of the weight room because he claims the weight room belongs to his football players when they want it. Beleieve me, he has plenty of time to keep an eye on "his" facilities since as "assistant athletic director" that's about all he has to do. I like sports as much as the next person, but I hate to see tax payer money wasted to give a good old boy a position just so he can coach.

I guess I should respond to your last two attempts at provocation even though you showed yourself to be quite dense. I have countered your political extremities with logical, traditional, and common sense views. Taking things out of context; examples being such as myself having no sympathy for the poor or having a "holier then thou" mentality, won't work. I am sorry that I don't share your 1960's hippie mentality when it comes to drugs and sociology.


I have learned long ago in the political realm of things that attacking someone rather then simply debating doesn't draw many kudos. Also when it comes to a subject matter I know little about I usually do one of two things. I either remain silent or confirm my information before I speak!


I must conclude with, that I wish you no harm and admire your willingness to speak up. :D

Report This Comment		The decision by the school board to spend $750,000 on Astroturf is infuriating!
Forget the football field and use the capital projects fund for the needed improvements with less borrowed money. Have none of them any common sence?
One in ten Americans are unemployed. Last year over a million homes were foreclosed. Their going to spend 3/4 of a million taxpayer dollars on Astroturf! Insane!
Is it time for a change in the school administration? Will the taxpayers remember this vote in the next school board elections? Is there any way to stop this waist of our money before they pave the football field?
