I say IT'S ABOUT TIME, why should innocent little kids have to get cancer because
someone chooses to smoke at the place where they play.

Oh, come on! This stuff is getting way out of hand. When I go to the park pool and decide I need a cigarette I cross the entire parking lot and sit on the logs over on the pond side. Then I will wait until any persons there have left before I smoke my cigarette, snuff it on the ground, and carry it all the way back across the lot with me to the trash cans. Why should someone like me be punished for jerks who don't even get 10 steps beyond the front doors, litter their butts on the ground, and smoke around children ? How about just making the smoking area across the lot? If I can't smoke anywhere in the park, I seriously doubt I would even bother going there at all.

Thank you mec. That is because I choose to be polite about it and fortunately for some of the parents of those same children, and smokers alike, rudeness is not illegal. I ask the city council to please not change the ordinance to include the entire park. If I can put up with rude parents and children, they can put up with me smoking far out of range of them.
