This is truly funny. It reminds me of an Abbott and Costello routine. Who's on first?

The form Coffin filed is a complaint, but he (Coffin) says it’s more of an inquiry than a complaint.

“It is a complaint, that’s what the form says, but we don’t have the information to file a complaint,” Coffin said. “Technically, it’s a complaint. ...

“I’m not trying to make a complaint, but make a determination and carry on. This clears the air once and for all.”

Only an attorney could speak in such circles. LOL

This could be a huge can of worms. I can think of 5 people running in this primary that work for an organization that receives Federal funding.

I find these developments most exhausting. In my opinion only, a great portion of this circus could be avoided when the potential candidate(s) filed to participate in the said election. I thought I possessed decent knowledge as to the procedural matters of the election board, but am at a loss if the criterion guidelines differ from state to state.

Why not ask the candidate(s) when they file to show proof of eligibility per the requirements? It may prove to eliminate these foreseeable embarrassments.

Just Wondering,

I am wondering as to whom the five violators are on your suspect list. While I have unsubstantiated rumors of possibly one other, I am at a loss as to who else.

Your reply may prove interesting. Please do tell.

Phil Deckard is a great man and a huge inspiration he does not play dirty if you wonna know he will tell you....Buskirk broke this town financially then blamed it on Mayor Deckard when he came into office this town does not need a liar they need a man like Deckard who will do whatever it takes to make sure that the cities money is being spent wisley not to mention all the money and grants that Deckard and his staff have brought to the city....We dont need someone who feels that our money should be spent all on a fire station we need a wise man who follows God and listens to the people of Martinsville and you will only get that with one man!!!! PHIL DECKARD 4 MAYOR!!!!

Yes and how much money is the city wasting on Sharon Kersey's position, and the last I heard she and Eric were living in Lawrence County. Is that still true?

You should be greatful of that fine lady she has worked her butt off for the city which is more than Buskirk and his little wife has ever done. If it werent for her we would have never been able to get through the flood or have the upgrades Martinsville needed and now has. To me and most of Martinsville it makes since to hire someone who can do so much for a city remember she gets paid very little for all she does for this city which when you compare to all the money spent on the fire department not to mention Buskirks wife is very little. Please next time use your brain before knocking someone down who deserves more than what she gets for what she does for this city. Mayor Deckard cares for Martinsville, its citizens and its employees he does what needs to be done and doesnt waste time on silly things like the former Mayor. DECKARD 4 MAYOR!!!!

Wow, gonna be an ugly election. People feel strongly `about which canidate they support, thats politics. However, I don't know that either the former mayor or current mayor are what's best for this city. Actually, I am not all together sure that any of the candidates who have filed are what is good for this city. I think we need someone who is smart, savvy, and wants to better this community in many ways. There is no possible way to make everyone happy, so let's just do what is best for the city and the future of our children.
