| artsandcraftsy Sunday, April 17, 2011: 1:56 pm More from artsandcraftsy | You know, the problem with the media is that they have a knack for providing information to people that might promote an activity. Sort of like when the government tells the news that they thought a specific terror activity may occur... it didn't though. Well it gave the terrorists a new idea. Same applies to this article. I'm disappointed in your irresponsible reporting. It makes me sick. |
| nobodyimportant Sunday, April 17, 2011: 9:47 pm More from nobodyimportant | I join those who take a very dim view of this kind of reporting. The public is not served by sharing specific language and portions of the book. Brian, this is a bad mistake. If the news here was that law enforcement now has some of the same information as the predators they are hunting for, that could have been done in about 10% of the spaces given to this article. It's just not right. |
| Liberty Sunday, April 17, 2011: 10:26 pm More from Liberty | I agree with Nobody. All you have accomplished here is to publish the sick author's information and gave it a public platform to a small town. You made the book writer happy by disseminating his very sick and dangerous material. Who do you think the paper has stimulated in our town and what are they going to do now ? |
| Lassiter Sunday, April 17, 2011: 11:59 pm More from Lassiter | Uh oh, do I see a topic everybody will agree on? Best bet against this kind of evil is to teach "trust nobody". |
| Jane Q Citizen Monday, April 18, 2011: 9:06 am More from Jane Q Citizen | I agree with with the previous comments. Plus you have given the names of the books along with the authors so if a probable perp didn't get enough information from this article, they now know some additional resources to purchase at the low, low price of $4.79. TMI!!! |
| Liberty Monday, April 18, 2011: 1:47 pm More from Liberty | Brian Culp, A newspaper should print things that are in the public interest that can be used for good. To use material that will cause harm and molest children and aid criminals on how to avoid being caught is not something that a SUBSCRIBER should tolerate from a publishing company quest for profit at the detriment of their readers. EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the first in a three-part series looking at the “Child Love Manual,” which local law enforcement officials are using to better understand the methods of pedophiles and child molesters. The book is written by an anonymous author, who calls himself “The Mule.” The first part examines the book itself. The second part of the series will explore the methods police and prosecutors use to catch and jail molesters. The final article takes a look at Susie’s Place, a child-advocacy center that helps investigate child abuse cases. #1 “The Mule.” The first part examines the book itself. This could only stimulate a sick person to act and they just may be looking at your daughter or mine. #2 The second part of the series will explore the methods police and prosecutors use to catch and jail molesters. Then you show the sick molester how to escape and avoid the law so she/he can keep on molesting our community. #3 Susie’s Place, a child-advocacy center that helps investigate child abuse cases. Then write about something that really doesn't apply much to the first two things unless you assume that parents are the main sex abusers and threat to a child, which they are not. The paper can also make money from printing other published things like : How to make meth, crack and PCP How to make a pipe bomb How to make an atomic bomb How to rape other than children How to hack a newspapers website On and on. All things like this but could be damaging to the community and at those morning editors meetings should be set aside as not news worthy or respectful to the community just as the rest of this series should be set aside. Hey maybe you should actually report the long awaited followup story on the outcome of that big lawsuit against a county school system for secretly holding masturbation classes in a middle school......Wait ... that would be protecting molesters and this is...... Na. Not possible. Just making a point and suggesting a followup story. Thanks, Liberty |
